The company offers a number of solutions for the financial, legal, tax, accounting, science and healthcare fields. It is based in New York, has offices in London and Eagan, Minnesota and employs about 50,000 people worldwide. WestlawNext is a new search interface and legal research system that was launched at LegalTech New York in February 2010. The product is produced by West, a division of Thomson Reuters. According to a press release provided by Thomson Reuters, the product took five years to develop and was developed with extensive customer input. The system is powered by the WestSearch search engine and provides access to primary and secondary sources, including statutes, annotated cases, regulations, forms Leah Pellegrino digests and encyclopedias.
