ROCK On 21st and 23rd at Auditorium Conciliazione Daltrey and the “” legend he sixty-seven year old Rock legend and lead singer of , TRoger Daltrey and his band, are in Rome to perform the complete album of “Tommy” from start to finish. Released in 1969, “Tommy” is acclaimed as the first-ever rock opera. It went on to undergo numerous adaptations including ’s film starring Daltrey himself in the role of the psychosomatically deaf, dumb and blind boy who becomes a master player and the object of a religious cult. The Who, made up by Daltrey, (songwriter ad composer), and is obviously no more and cannot be replicated, however Daltrey has put together an excellent band with (Pete’s brother) on guitar, Scott Deavons on the drums, on guitar, on bass and on keyboards. A video screen behind the band rolls with animated film to complement the story of “that deaf, dumb, blind kid.” The rock opera is just the first half of Daltrey's show who then goes on to present a selection of The Who's greatest hits and some rarely performed tracks. There are oil paintings, watercolours, ceramics and bronze sculptures, all of them from the Pilar and Joan Miro’ 94 Foundation in Palma de Mallorca which owns most of his patrimony. The exhibition spans Miro’s entire artistic production, with a special focus on the works created in the thirty years in which Miró lived in Mallorca, from Sebastian Matta 1956 until his death in 1983.
