Abstrakt Název práce: Vývoj světových rekordů v plavání za období 1988-2016 Cíl práce: Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit a porovnat vývoj světových rekordů v plavání v posledních sedmi olympijských cyklech, tzn. v letech 1988-2016. Předmětem zkoumání byly všechny individuální plavecké disciplíny v kategorii mužů i žen, které se plavou na padesátimetrovém bazénu. Snahou bylo vzájemné posouzení progrese rekordů jednotlivých disciplín, plaveckých způsobů a rekordů mužů a žen. Metody: Data, se kterými se pracovalo v bakalářské práci, byly získány pomocí metody historické a zkoumáním dokumentů. Samotné zpracování a vyhodnocení dat probíhalo tabelačním tříděním a grafickým zobrazením.
