Follow in the footsteps of golfing legends in 2019 with this unique Golf Event in the East of Scotland. East Lothian is renowned as “Scotland’s Golf Coast”. The event includes the very best of Scottish golf, south of Edinburgh in East Lothian.
The avid golfer is ‘guaranteed’ play at the 16-time host venue of the Open Championship – The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers Muirfield, along with the Archerfield Links and classic seaside course of North Berwick GC.
The package is inclusive of 4 nights’ accommodation at the exclusive and private estate of Archerfield House in East Lothian followed by 2 nights’ accommodation in the Capital city, at the 5* Sheraton Hotel.
One of the highlights of this trip will be a Scottish Gala Dinner hosted by PGA Professional George Finlayson. You are invited to dinner where you will witness the ‘Toast of the famous Haggis’ with a Robert Burns recital! An evening to remember and a perfect end to this unique event!

ITINERARY DAY 1: Sunday 20 October 2019 | Arrival & Orientation On arrival to Edinburgh Airport you will be greeted by Scotland for Golf and swiftly transfer to Archerfield House. Here you will be greeted by the rest of the team with some welcome drinks, before a buffet lunch and 3 course dinner. Get to know the rest of the group. After your first full Scottish breakfast, you will experience your first round of Scottish Golf at the Archerfield Fidra Course. The Fidra Course is a mixture of pine forest and true running links. The links aspect of the course is found after the 12th hole - where the Bass Rock, Coast of Fife, and Firth of Forth come in to view. Enjoy breakfast before transferring to Muirfield GC. Muirfield has hosted the Open Championship 16 times, as well as Major Individual and Team Amateur Championships. The course is a wonderful challenge and is always featured as one of the best 18- hole links courses in the world of golf. After golf, transfer back to Archerfield house for inclusive lunch and dinner. Transfers to North Berwick GC follow breakfast this morning. North Berwick is up there as the most one of most enjoyable visitor golf courses. Set on the Firth of Forth this Links Course commands outstanding views over the sea to Fife. North Berwick is famous for having many unique features on the course. The west course has hosted the final qualifying for the Open Championship but is very playable for all levels of golfer. DAY 5: Thursday 24 October 2019 | Sightseeing or Leisure Day
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the centre of Scotland’s Capital - Edinburgh. Drive down Princes Street and see the monument dedicated to Sir Walter Scott, a famous writer and poet - Scott’s Monument. From here you will have impressive views of Princes Street Gardens and Edinburgh Castle, which is the first destination of the day. Explore the ‘Great Hall’, ‘The Royal Palace’, and view the Crown Jewels, and ‘The Stone of Destiny’. At 1pm, witness the ‘One o’clock Gun’ which dates back to 1861. We will then travel down the Royal Mile and on to the Grassmarket area, where you will find an array of traditional Scottish pubs, restaurants and small boutique shops to peruse before heading back to the hotel. Today we travel along George Street and Queen Street before taking you up past Calton Hill. With its classically influenced architecture, it offers one of the best views of the city. The hill is unmistakeable with its Athenian acropolis poking above the skyline. The acropolis is actually an unfinished monument – originally called the ‘National Monument. Building was initiated in 1816, a year after Napoleons defeat at Waterloo. It was meant to be a replica of the Parthenon in Athens as a memorial to those who had died in the Napoleonic Wars.
From here, we head down towards the foot of Arthur’s Seat, past the Burns monument to Holyrood Park where the regal Holyrood Palace is located. Holyrood Palace is the official residence of Her Majesty the Queen in Scotland. Here you can explore 14 magnificent historic and State Apartments, the romantic ruins of the 12th-century Holyrood Abbey and the remarkable royal gardens.
