    To veivalg, to skjebner Asker og Røa har vært rivaler fra omtrent 2003 og til i dag, de to siste år som Stabæk og Røa. I den perioden har de to lagene fulgt hver sin utvikling, med markant forskjellig resultat. Da jeg tidligere anklaget Stabæk for å mangle det lille ekstra i forhold til lag og samhold, ble det et mildt opprør. Jeg skal nå forsøke å uttrykke meg litt mer presist. Om man ser Stabæk som en naturlig fortsettelse av Asker i de tingene jeg konsentrerer meg om, da spillergruppe og øyeblikkelig støtteapparat (inkludert trener) ser man tendenser som er markant forskjellige fra Røas tilsvarende. Min hypotese er at forskjellen lagene imellom ligger i hovedsak i at Asker har stor variasjon i spilletroppen, mens Røa har en stabil tropp, og som har vært delansvarlig for at Røa har kommet seg oppover. Mitt studium starter i 2003. På det daværende tidspunkt hadde Røa en fjerdeplass bak seg, mens Asker kom to plasser foran. I 2003 kom Asker på plassen foran Røa, men siden har Røa kommet foran Asker. Etter hvert ble Asker til Stabæk, og det er nå uavgjort mellom de to, med hver sin seier og andreplass. Spillerforflyttinger Som sagt skal jeg se på spillerstallen til de to lagene, og da i hovedsak utskiftinger.
