MY WEEK IN REVIEW Glory be to Jesus Christ! I missed two days of journaling and it was amazing that I couldn’t remember what I did until I referred back to my schedule. Here are the events/meetings of the week: Road trip with Deacon Warren to introduce him to the Kamsack area and certain leadership people, Uhrynow Praznyk and 5 other liturgical services, ordination planning meeting, NB UCWLC meeting, organizing/culling books and parish records from the NB choir loft, teaching 45 Saskatoon teachers about the Byzantine rite in a program called “Understanding your faith”, learning the Saskatoon Chancery office file system, St. Michael’s Teen Camp meeting, Consultor’s meeting, Catechism visit, Extraordinary Baptism in the Hospital, Interment of Don Figurski(+) at the Richard Cemetery and 8 house/hospital visits. For the military I did last minute planning for Decoration Day and delegated all my responsibilities so that I could miss it for the Hafford Praznyk. I did some woodwork, repurposing some church pews into icon writing boards and also mounting icon cards. Debbie and I attended the Rotary Club Lobster Fest with Nina and friends. What is not included in this list is driving time and computer/office time. This coming week I will be in Cornwall ON from Monday to Friday. If there are emergencies then Fr. Janko can help with your situation, for other important calls my phone will be on. I am doing professional development with the Canadian Armed Forces Chaplains. It is important to know that the training I receive from being a chaplain in the military has a benefit for my pastoral ministry in the parish as well. Just me, Fr. Ivan
