Subscribe online at: www.stalbans.anglican.org/news/signup-see- round-online/ YOUTH AND CHILDREN’S WORK Saturday 12 May: Children’s Ministry Basics Parish Centre, St Augustine’s Church, Broxbourne 10am - 1pm This training morning focuses on the Bible, the Christian year, and some ideas on storytelling, music, and prayer. You will also have a chance to look at some of the resources available from the Diocesan Resource Centre, and get tips on the best websites and curricula for Junior Church, assemblies, and more. Whether you serve in Junior Church, All-Age Worship, schools ministry, Messy Church, Toddler Praise, or others, this half-day session will help you build your confidence and get inspiration for ministering with children and families. While the day is primarily aimed at volunteers, clergy and paid children’s workers are also welcome - especially if you’re accompanying volunteers. There are 39 speaking stops. The organ is 12 years old, in full working order and in very good condition. Wyvern still sell the Koralia organ at £13,000 and this organ has a resale value of £800. Any reasonable offer would be accepted. The organ has been used by children as a practice organ so will fit in a medium to large home, as well as a church. For further details contact the relevant archdeacon. 1 BEDFORD ARCHDEACONRY Benefice of Bromham with Oakley and Stagsden [Sharnbrook Deanery] The Bishop of St Albans wishes to appoint a full-time Incumbent for the benefice of Bromham with Oakley and Stagsden, Bedfordshire. The Bromham Benefice is made up of three attractive rural parishes with a combined population of 8,000, in the valley of the River Great Ouse. We are seeking a vicar who has the necessary experience to lead us in fulfilling our vision to grow in faith, discipleship and outreach to our local communities; in particular, to work with us in developing more vibrant and inspiring family services whilst respecting tradition. We would like someone who - • will enable and guide us in realising our goals • can inspire and unify us in sharing Christ’s love in the communities in which we live and serve. • can communicate a vision for what is possible and work effectively with us to make it happen. Goldington is situated in the north east of Bedford. There are good transport links by road, rail and bus to London and the North and nearby towns such as Milton Keynes, Cambridge, St Albans and Northampton. It is well serviced by local amenities for shopping and leisure. The two benefices are praying for a community-minded Vicar able to lead the church in spiritual and numerical growth. The heart of the benefices is about 24 miles north of the centre of London. The Cheshunt Team covers the Anglican parishes of Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, Goffs Oak and Turnford, and serves a combined population of around 65,000.
