On the evening of June 9, there will be a welcome reception hosted by the State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) and about one hundred C-level executives from the 112 central state-owned and some local state-owned companies in China. Since the Chinese central government is encouraging its state-owned enterprises to make investments and/or find M&A opportunities in foreign countries, and the US is one of their favorite investment destinations, this is a rare opportunity to have direct contact with these investment-seeking enterprises. 2nd Stop: Kunming, Yunnan Province | June 11–12 (Thursday–Friday) After the visit of Shanghai, the delegation will fly to Kunming, Yunnan.
