Chevy All Access Music Tour Debuts At Nashville's Country Music Association Festival

NASHVILLE , Tenn. – With over 200 songs referencing Chevy vehicles, music is an integral component of Chevrolet’s DNA. That heritage is brought to life in the Chevy All Access Music Tour, a traveling exhibit of pop culture memorabilia, live performances and interactive consumer experiences that will travel the country, visiting some of the top music and sporting events through 2005. Inside, guests will discover a one-of-a-kind collection of rare music memorabilia, including Elvis’ jumpsuit from his 1972 Madison Square Garden concert and ’s hat from the Big & Rich “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy” video.

The tour kicks off June 9 – 12 at the Country Music Association (CMA) Festival in Nashville , Tenn. , of which Chevrolet is the exclusive automotive sponsor. Live performances from the tour stage will be held on Thursday from 6:00–7:00 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Among the artists scheduled to perform are Forty5 South, The Great Divide, Pirates of the Mississippi , Sammy Sadler, Victor Sanz, Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand, Lane Turner and Billy Yates.

“The Chevy All Access Music Tour celebrates the unbreakable bond between the music we love and the cars and trucks we love to drive ,” said Kim Kosak, Chevrolet general director of advertising and sales promotions. “The tour gives guests an interactive, backstage experience with an up-close look at unique, iconic pieces of music history.”

In addition to viewing the tour’s priceless collection of music memorabilia, guests can test their music IQ by participating in live, interactive trivia contests for prizes . Guests can also create their own custom playlist at the tour’s free CD burning station. Music selections will include a range of songs featuring some of today’s top rock, pop, hip-hop and country music artists .

The Chevy All Access Music Tour plays a role in supporting Chevrolet’s 2005 marketing partnership with the Country Music Association and the City of New York . The groundbreaking deal fosters cross-promotion between all three entities and promotes the 39th Annual CMA Awards show at New York City ’s Madison Square Garden on November 15.

The tour will be on display in New York City September 6–8, in conjunction with the 2005

CMA Awards nominee announcements. The New York stop will include free, Chevy- sponsored concerts in Union Square featuring Blue County , “” winner Erika Jo, Cowboy Troy, as well as artists Big & Rich and , who have promotional

relationships with Chevrolet. The Chevy Festival in Union Square will also include a parade of Chevy vehicles with a country music theme and interactive safety demonstrations.

Other tour stops include the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Detroit on July 12 and the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis on August 7. The tour will also be on display at the Batman Begins 400 NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway on June 19, where Julie Roberts, who was featured in the 2005 Chevy Year in Country Music Calendar, will perform on the tour stage.

Additional tour stops will be added on an ongoing basis, some of which will include live performances featuring CMA artists. The complete schedule of tour stops will be posted on chevy.com.

The Chevy All Access Music Tour is part of Chevrolet’s “An American Revolution” advertising and marketing campaign, which is supporting the launch of 10 all-new cars and trucks in an unprecedented 20-month time frame.

“Music plays an integral role in Chevy’s advertising and marketing programs and the Chevy All Access Music Tour is the centerpiece of all of Chevrolet’s music promotions,” said Kosak. “While visiting the tour, guests can check out the cars that inspire the stars, like the Chevy SSR, the all-new small crossover utility HHR and the legendary Silverado.”
