[Remar- kable records of Macrolepidoptera in Sweden 1995.1 - Ent. Tidskr. l17 (l-2):35-48. Upp- sala. Sweden 1996. ISSN 0013-886x. This is the 23rd consecutive annual report on interesting finds and provincial records of Macrolepidoptera in Sweden. Due to the increasing demand for information on Lepidoptera for faunal conservation purposes, this Iist gives the latest available information on the present status for some of the endangered lepidopteran species in Sweden. The early parts of the spring and summer were mainly cool throughout Sweden with some shorter spells of warmth towards the end of April, end of May to the beginning of June. In July the warmth came to southern and central parts ofSweden and then got better and better until last week in August. Among the most interesting captures this season, presumably belonging to, or at least occasionally found in the native fauna, were Eup hithecia fennoscandica not found in Sweden for thirty years, the newcomer Eulithis pyropata, which may now be native to Gotland and Cucullia artemisie not found since 1983. Among other interesting finds from the Swedish fauna were Acerbia alpina which also this year was found in numbers and Xestia borealis which was found on a new, even more southerly habitat along the mountain range. The finds of Araschnia levana and Scopula marginepunctara are also pleasing, indicating that these species are recolonising Sweden again. The season 1995 was the best year for migrating Lepidoptera ever recorded in Sweden. The first migrants came already with the warmth in April. Also at the end of May to the beginning of June several migrating species, for instance Macroglossum stellatarum arrived with the warm air. In mid July, a week with SE winds brought species like: Arichanna melanaria, Eilema griseola, Lithosia quadra, Autographa mandarina, to the south eastern part of Sweden. In late July and in the beginning ofAugust some weeks with prevailing S winds brought a number of migrants, among them: Crli.rs croc'ea, Cyc'lophora porata, Drepana binaria, Acherontia atropos, Lymantria dispar, Autographa mandarina, Hydraec'ia ultima, Cucullia fraudatrix, Protoschinia scutosa andlasa but not least two specimens of Photede.r brevilinea which were new to Sweden. In the beginning of September, a ten day period with SE winds brought species like Orthonama obstipata, Agrius convolvuli, Macroglossum stellatarum, Spodoptera exigua, Litophane consocia, Mvthimna albipuncta, Heliothis armigera, Proloschinia scutosa and also the largest number of Nltcteola asiaricd ever recorded in Sweden, more than doubling the number of finds in Sweden. Then in October, there came a fortnight with S and SW winds bringing the last spell of migrants for the season to Sweden. Among the species found were: Orthonama obstipata, Peridroma saucia, Schrankia intermedialis, Hypena lividalis and Mythimna unipuncta. The three latter species were all recorded in Sweden for the first time. Whether S. intermedialis is native in Sweden or not is presently not known. The capture of four species new to Sweden brings the total number of Macrolepidoptera found up to 1064. The classification is according to Catalogus Lepidopterorum Sueciae (1994). G. W arszawa, 31.12.2002 45 131-145 Grażyna W i n i a r s k a Butterflies and moths ( Lepidoptera ) in urban habitats: the moths of Warsaw I. Noctuidae, Pantheidae, Nolidae Abstract: 302 moth species of the families Noctuidae, Pantheidae and Nolidae have been recorded in Warsaw to date. Of these, in historical times were recorded 286 species (86 of them only then, including one - M. acetosellae, which can no longer be found in Poland). Most of these species are now regarded as very rare and occurring only locally in Central Europe (e.g. I. calvaria, S. taenialis, C. pacta, P. moneta, P. cheiranthi, H. ononis, A. caliginosa, D. oo, T. ludifica). Contemporary records list 212 species, most of which are widely distributed in Poland and classified as abundant (e.g. D. trifolii, M. pallens, X. c-nigrum, A. exclamationis). 7 species: M. confusa, A. gamma, S. scutosa, H. peltigera, S. exigua, L. zollikoferi and A. ipsilon are migrant visitors. Key words: Noctuidae, Pantheidae, Nolidae, Lepidoptera, urban habitats, Warsaw Author's address: Museum and Institute of Zoology PAS, Wilcza 64, 00-679 Warszawa, POLAND INTRODUCTION Studies of Lepidoptera from urban habitats have not been carried out in too many Polish towns. Warsaw is now the most extensively studied Polish town, with research carried out both in the city and in its suburbs, starting from the mid-19th century. As early as 1764-1798, during his expeditions K.H. Perthes, the court geographer of king Stanisław August Poniatowski collected, among others, insects ( Coleoptera, Orthoptera and Lepidoptera).

This study presents a synthesis of the current knowledge regarding the Lepidoptera fauna of Bucharest and the surrounding areas within a distance up to 50 kilometers around the Romanian capital. Data about the fauna composition are presented: the results of the research work beginning with the end of the 19th century, as well the results of the research work carried out in the last 15 years. The research initiated and done by the author himself, led to the identification of 180 species which were unknown in the past. Even if the natural habitats from this region have undergone through radical changes in the 20th century, the area still preserves a quite rich and interesting Lepidoptera fauna. The forests provide shelter to rich populations of the hawk moth Dolbina elegans A. Bang-Haas, 1912, one of the rarest Sphingidae in Europe, and some other species with high faunistical and zoogeographical value as: Noctua haywardi (Tams, 1926) (it is new record for the Romanian fauna from this area), Catocala dilecta (Hübner, 1808), Tarachidia candefacta (Hübner, [1831]), Chrysodeixis chalcites (Esper, [1789]), Aedia leucomelas (Linnaeus, 1758), and Hecatera cappa (Hübner, [1809]). We also present and discuss the current status of the protected Lepidoptera species from the surroundings of the Romanian capital for the first time. Résumé. Received: 10.01.2020 Revised: 04.02.2020 Accepted: 08.03.2020 Abstract Lepidoptera family of the Lower Amudarya State Biosphere Reserve has not been adequately studied yet. This research was carried out in order to determine the species composition of Lepidoptera family of the Lower Amudarya State Biosphere Reserve. The Noctuoidea group is a major species included in the Lepidoptera species. The research materials were collected in four refuges (Beruni, Kegeyli, Sultan, Amudarya) from March 2017 to November 2018. A list of species has been compiled in this region for two years. The obtained results show that in the studied area, 1,000 types of moths were collected. It was found out that they belong to the Noctuoidea family. DRL lamp handles were used for catching the moths.
