For Immediate Release This Sunday, June 19th, Yasmin Davidds, Empowerment Speaker and Expert in Latino Women’s Issues Launches Her Spanish Radio Show "¡Adelante Mujer!” on Univision Radio’s KTNQ 1020 AM Los Angeles, 24 de April de 2006 –Yasmin Davidds, recognized speaker, coach and expert in Latino women’s issues announces the launch of her Spanish radio show "¡Adelante Mujer!” co-hosted by TV personality Adriana Yañez. "¡Adelante Mujer!" will air every Sunday from 10 to 10:30 AM in the Los Angeles area on Univision Radio, KTNQ 1020 AM, beginning this Sunday, June 19th. Audience participation will be the core of the show, to share opinions on various issues that relate to Latino women. Davidds participates in many campaigns for women rights; she is a mentor for Latinos and now will be a permanent voice on the radio with the mission of empowering Latino women. "¡Adelante Mujer!" was created to offer listeners an educated forum to discuss topics related to Latino women, guided by Davidds’ expertise and Yañez’s casual conducting style. The show is part of Davidds’ effort to promote self-help and empowerment, following the launch of her latest product, “The Latinas Seven Principles” (English) and its Spanish version “¡Adelante Mujer! Los Siete Pasos al Éxito para la Mujer Latina”. The product is targeted to Latino women and includes a book with exercises and eight CD’s promoting strength, self- love, and individual power. Davidds can also be seen as a guest on the popular Univision morning show "Despierta América" on June 23rd. Davidds’ experiences began as the daughter of Latino immigrants living in a Latino neighborhood in the East San Gabriel Valley and continued as she enrolled in the University of Southern California where she received a degree in business. She went on to further her education by earning a Masters in Women’s Studies, specializing in Latina issues from San Diego State University. Additionally, Yasmin attended the University of Cambridge in Great Britain, where she studied gender roles in a variety of ethnic groups Since 1989 she has counseled thousands of young Latinos in both sexes and has been an advisor to over 1,750 Latinos from the junior high school to the university level. Yasmin also serves on the Board of Directors for HOPE (Hispanas Organized for Political Equality) and is a graduate of their HOPE Leadership Institute. Adriana Yañez started her career doing commercials in her native Colombia and continued to become a recognized radio personality in the country. She moved to the United States in 2002 where she started her career as a reporter for a local TV station in Los Angeles. Currently she hosts a local variety show.
