When a panicked Benedictine nun appears at the clinic begging Mathilde to follow her back to the convent, what she finds there is shocking: a holy sister about to give birth and several more in advanced stages of pregnancy. A non-believer, Mathilde enters the sisters’ fiercely private world, dictated by the rituals of their order and the strict Rev. Mother (Agata Kulesza, Ida). Fearing the shame of exposure, the hostility of the occupying Soviet troops and local Polish communists and while facing an unprecedented crisis of faith, the nuns increasingly turn to Mathilde as their beliefs and traditions clash with harsh realities.

He has escaped a little village in the countryside. He has escaped his family, his father's tyranny and his mother's resignation. He has escaped intolerance, rejection and the bullying he suffered from being singled out as "different." Against all odds, he has found allies. First Madeleine Clement, the middle school principal who introduced him to theater and whose name he will later adopt as a symbol of his salvation. Then Abel Pinto, his mentor and role model, who will encourage him to tell his story on stage. Finally, Isabelle Huppert will help him get his show produced and bring it to life. Marvin/Martin will risk everything to create this show that represents so much more than success: it is his path to re-invention. INTERVIEW WITH ANNE FONTAINE © Marcel Hartmann Though "Marvin" was inspired by "The End of Eddy" by Edouard Louis, your Marvin is not an adaptation of that book. Tell us how the film was born. I felt a very strong connection to the hero of the book by Edouard Louis, and I almost immediately felt like I wanted to make his story my own.

  • Yashwantrao Chavan
Yashwantrao Chavan MESSAGE Shri Yashwantrao Chavan, born on 12th March 1913 in a small village called Devrashtra in the then Satara district, hailed from a rural family with modest means. His father was a bailiff who succumbed to the epidemic of plague when Yashwantrao was only four years old. He was brought up by his mother under difficult circumstances. He grew up in a family where social and political reforms were a subject of daily debate and discourse. He spent about 15 months in jail but the period of incarceration turned out to be a blessing in disguise. There were many eminent scholars who were also in the same jail and they conducted virtual classes and turned the jail into a university. It was in the jail that he first absorbed knowledge of political ideologies and classical literature. When India's independence was on the horizon, he won the election to the Legislative Assembly in 1946 and began his political career as Parliamentary Secretary to the Home Minister, Shri Morarji Desai. Soon he got involved in the vortex of movement for the Samyukta Maharashtra. Eventually, he became the Chief Minister of bilingual State of Bombay in 1956. He made a name for himself with his capacity for work, candid dialogue with opposition and administrative acumen. The State of Maharashtra was formed on 1st May 1960 and Yashwantrao became the first Chief Minister of Maharashtra. In November 1962, he became the Defence Minister in the aftermath of the India-China conflict. He worked hard to restore the morale of the armed forces and to enhance his strength through modern weapons, better equipment, organizational changes and a harmonious relationship with the armed forces.

Agathe (Isabelle Huppert) is an uptight, impatient art dealer who lives in an expensive Parisian apartment with her wealthy publisher husband, Andre Dussollier (“Unforgivable”). Patrick (Benoît Poelvoorde from “Coco Before Chanel”) is a skirt-chasing, unemployed single father who lives in his van with his son. Mathilde, a young French doctor with the Red Cross, is on a mission to help World War II survivors. When a nun seeks for her help, she is brought to a convent where several pregnant sisters are concealed from past barbaries of the Soviet soldiers. Unable to reconcile their faith with their pregnancy, the nuns turn to Mathilde who becomes their only hope. INTERVIEW WITH ANNE FONTAINE same order as the one in the film. I was only there as an observer during the first retreat, but I truly experienced the life of a novice in the second. Tell us more about it. Beyond life in a community, which impressed me a great deal - this way of being together, praying and singing seven times a day - it’s also as if you were in a world where time is suspended. You have the feeling of floating in a type of euphoria and yet you are bound by a very strong discipline.

  • Benoît Poelvoorde and Valérie Bonneton to Play the Parents? Sparks, Life, Fantasy, Emotion, Laughter, Truth and Much More! I Immediately Thought of Them
VENICE CALLING Directed by Yvan Calberac INTERNATIONAL MARKETING INTERNATIONAL PUBLICITY Lucie MICHAUT Alexandre BOURG [email protected] [email protected] SYNOPSIS Emile struggles to grow up and have a normal life, stuck in the old family caravan where he leaves with his erratic older brother and his whimsical parents, a lovely but eccentric pair who always seem to find a way to embarrass him. When Pauline, Emile’s high school crush, invites him to Venice to see her play in a concert, his father declares this as the perfect opportunity for the entire family to tag along. Bound for Venice, this dysfunctional group hits the road in the family caravan, setting out on an incredible journey full of hilarious and life- changing adventures. Interview with Ivan Calbérac Before the film, there was a book: your first novel, subsequently adapted for theatre ... Yes, in fact I first wrote a novel, Venice Calling - published by Flammarion in 2015 - and I chose the form of an intimate journal to tell this coming-of-age tale. It’s the story of Émile, who is 14 and is finding his own way through his teenage years sandwiched between a gentle, wacky father who makes him live in a caravan, and a mother who dies his hair blond, because apparently “he’s more handsome like that”. From the outset, I was aware that I was developing material conducive to being adapted to film. But looking back, I wasn’t expecting the text to become the basis for a play as well, which is what happened after the reading by Thomas Solivérès at the book launch, where he read extracts from the novel personifying all the characters.
