No.2007014 August 10, 2007 Press Release Columbia Music Entertainment Issues Notice of Consolidated Business Results for First Quarter of Fiscal Year Ending March 2008 ~ Substantial Profit & Loss Improvement Over Previous Year’s Same Term ~ Columbia Music Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter CME; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Sadahiko Hirose) today gives notice that it has issued its consolidated business results indicating the Company’s overall performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2008 (FY 2007 Q1; April 1 ~ June 30, 2007). During the quarter under review, our sales were higher than in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, led by the digital business, which recorded a 20% increase. However, as the result of an 802 million reduction in sales booked by the P&D business according to a change in the accounting procedure from a total sales method to a handling fee method, and also because there were no hits of comparable size to those of the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, the Company’s consolidated sales totaled 4,406 million yen (a decline of 22.2% compared with the same quarter of the previous fiscal year). Moving on to the profit and loss situation, although total sales declined, the gross margin profit rate rose by 9.3 points to 45.4%. In addition, advertising expenses and general administrative expenses declined, resulting in a major improvement compared our performance for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. The ordinary loss for the quarter under review was 50 million yen (compared with a loss of 200 million yen for the same quarter of the previous fiscal year).

No.2007027 November 16, 2007 Press Release Columbia Music Entertainment Inc. Columbia Music Entertainment Issues Notice of Consolidated Business Results for First Half of Fiscal Year Ending March 2008 Columbia Music Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter CME; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Sadahiko Hirose, Chairman: Strauss Zelnick) today issued its consolidated business results indicating the Company’s overall performance for the first half (April 1 ~ September 30, 2007) of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2008. During the first half of the current fiscal year, although consolidated sales for the fiscal half year under review fell below the initially planned figure, the Company was nevertheless able to surpass its initially planned figures for operating profit, ordinary profit, and overall net profit for the period. The Company’s consolidated sales totaled 8,723 million yen (a decline of 27.6% compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year). This result was due mainly to a reduction of 2,311 million yen based upon a change in the accounting procedure for sales in the P&D business from a total sales method to a handling fee method, and also due to the paring down of releases of less profitable works. Moving on to the profit and loss situation: Although younger audiences are buying fewer CDs , audio software purchases by older consumers are flourishing. As a result of strong sales of catalogue titles that yield high profit margins, the Company’s gross profit margin was at about the same level as in the same period of the previous fiscal year at 43.8%.

No.2006004 May 31, 2006 Press Release Columbia Music Entertainment, Inc. Columbia Music Entertainment Issues Notice of Consolidated Business Results Full Fiscal Year Ending March 2006 ~ Digital Music Sales Tripled and Financial Structure Strengthened ~ Columbia Music Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter CME; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Sadahiko Hirose, Chairman: Strauss Zelnick) has today issued its consolidated business results, reporting the company’s overall performance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2006 (FY 2005; April 1, 2005 ~ March 31, 2006). During the fiscal year under review, CME made steady progress towards the goal of continuing long-term profitability by strengthening its music entertainment business, by creating hit artists, and by expanding its digital business. The company has also continued pursuing comprehensive cost management and expense reduction, including the liquidation of unprofitable businesses. As a result of the company’s efforts, Kaela Kimura’s popularity grew rapidly as an artist, sales of digital music tripled compared with the previous fiscal year, and the company’s music entertainment business recorded a meaningful sales increase. In addition, CME divested its domestic CD and DVD pressing business and, in anticipation of a sale in the near-term, discontinued its U.S. CD and DVD pressing business. Both operations were non-core businesses that had been operating at a continuous loss. Given all of the above developments, we are confident that the CME will continue to record stable and growing profits from the coming term. "We are very pleased that CME has accomplished its major long-term goals of improving its balance sheet and focusing on it core growth business- music and entertainment content, marketing, and distribution," said CME Chairman Strauss Zelnick.

No. 2008007 May 15, 2008 Press Release Columbia Music Entertainment, Inc. Columbia Music Entertainment Releases Consolidated Results for the Full Fiscal Year Ending March 2008 Columbia Music Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter CME; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Chief Executive Officer (CEO): Sadahiko Hirose, Chairman: Strauss Zelnick) has today issued its consolidated business results indicating the Company’s overall performance for the fiscal year under review ending March 31, 2008 (April 1, 2007 ~ March 31, 2008). Following its return to profitability in FY 2004 (ending March 31,2005) after 14 consecutive years of losses, Columbia Music Entertainment remained profitable in terms of both operating profit and ordinary profit through FY 2006 (ending March 31, 2007). However, because of continuing declines in the sales of packaged products such as CDs and DVDs, the Company is booking consolidated operating and ordinary losses for FY2007. As a result, Columbia Music Entertainment has taken aggressive measures to enable the Company to operate profitably, including the implementation of the “Second Career Program”, increased focus of management resources on promising artists and drastically reducing the scale of the international department. As a part of these actions, the Company has already conducted a review of the artist lineup in the J-Pop/J-Rock Department and has radically scaled back the unprofitable International Department, including the cancelling its license contract with the British rock V2 Music Group. The Company implemented the “Second Career Program” under which 119 employees have applied to take voluntary early retirement as of the end of March 2008. The Company also transferred some employees engaged in its package sales business into the overall Music Entertainment Business, which is now expanding.

May 11, 2012 Press Release Nippon Columbia Issues Notice of Consolidated Business Results for the Full Fiscal Year Ending March 2012 Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the Company; Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director/President and Chief Operating Officer (COO): Yasuharu Hara) today gives notice that it has issued its consolidated business results indicating the Company’s overall performance for the full fiscal year ending March 31, 2012 (April 1, 2011 ~ March 31, 2012). Consolidated Business Performance for FY2011 (Ending March 2012) 1. Sales Revenue During the fiscal year under review, the Company’s consolidated sales totaled 14,681 million yen (a decrease of 10.7% compared with the previous fiscal year). The main reasons for the overall decline in the Company’s sales were the reduction in the scale of the Others segment following the spinoff of the Company’s subsidiary Creative Core Co., Ltd., and decreased sales in the Physical Sales/Digital Distribution Business segment, where although sales of Animation and Dance & Fitness titles moved steadily, digital distribution sales centered on J-Pop titles declined. 2.Profit and Loss Regarding the profit & loss situation, in line with the decline in sales of digital distribution products, the Company recorded a consolidated operating profit for the fiscal year under review of 513 million yen (compared with a profit of 882 million yen for the previous fiscal year).
