The “Super Taikyu” Philosophy
Super Taikyu 2020 Sporting Regulatiolationn & Technical Regulation The “Super Taikyu” Philosophy In 1991, the Super Taikyu Race (“S-Tai”) began as a participant-focussed competition for mass-produced cars. It is the biggest race of its kind in Japan. This is a team sport in which both professional drivers and amateurs (for whom racing is an essential part of their lives) work together to nurture and develop both themselves and their sport. The atmosphere at Super Taikyu is like a gathering of car-mad, motorsport- loving friends. Through these meetings we hope personal bonds will be deepened, that participants will encourage each other while competing fairly in a demonstration of good sportsmanship. In other words, Play Fair and Compete Hard! We also strive to develop the sport of racing itself through the improvement of technologies in an environmentally-conscious way. Fair competition with safety as a priority is paramount, but it should not all be about the struggle for rank. We want to create an enriching experience for all who take part. Nothing puts your mettle to the test like continuous, personal challenge. We also aim to contribute to the advancement of Japan’s automobile industry and motorsports market through the development and sales of auto equipment and parts developed with Super Taikyu participants’ know-how and experience. 1 It is our hope that everyone associated with Super Taikyu share and appreciate this philosophy. Let us put our stamp on motorsports and join hands in passing along to the next generation an even richer racing tradition.Super Taikyu 2020 Sporting Regulation Pirelli Super Taikyu Series 2020 is held in accordance with the Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Domestic Sporting Code and the supplementary provisions comply with the FIA International Sporting Code and its supplementary provisions as well as the Sporting Regulation, Technical Regulation published by the Super Taikyu Organization (STO), and the supplementary regulations published in each round. -
