It is advisable to read the Assured Produce Generic Crop Protocol Standards and the Assured Produce Generic Protocol Guidance Notes (referred to in this document as the Generic Standards and Generic Guidance Notes) first before reading this crop specific protocol. This protocol is designed to stimulate thought in the mind of the reader. This crop specific protocol contains crop specific parameters and guidance, where applicable, for the requirements stated in the Generic Standards. All statements in this protocol containing the words "strongly recommended" (in bold type) will be verified during the Assured Produce assessment and their compliance will form a part of the certification/approval decision. The score required for these "strongly recommended" control points can be found on the final page of this document and in the checklists produced by Assured Produce licensed certification bodies.
