Copy of the minutes framed by Hon’ble the Rule Committee has been produced. The Hon’ble Committee has framed the Rules regarding the procedure for filing and conducting the commercial disputes in this Court in the Meeting dated 06.05.2016, which have been approved/seen by Hon’ble the Chief Justice vide orders dated 10.05.2016. The Hon’ble Committee has also approved the nomenclature of various categories of cases to be filed before the Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division. NIC is directed to create categories of such cases and develop a software programme in this regard. It is recommended that Commercial Division consisting of a Single Judge may be constituted to exercise the jurisdiction and powers conferred on it in terms of Section 4 of the Act. It is also recommended that Commercial Appellate Division consisting of a Division Bench may be constituted to exercise the jurisdiction and powers conferred on it in terms of Section 5 of the Act. xxxxxxxxxx The registry has sorted out cases of various categories and has given the figures that as many as 59 civil writ petitions relating to banks/financial institutions matters, 22 writ petitions relating to tender matters, one civil original petition pertaining to Patent Act, 34 civil writ petitions relating to PUDA/HUDA/GMADA matters, involving amount of rupees one crore and above are pending in this Court.
