The 4REAL Story: Sol Guy and Josh Thome, Founders and Creators, Direct Current Media & the 4REAL TV Series When the TV series 4REAL premiered this year on the CW Television Network in the US, on MTV/Canada and globally on National Geographic Channels International in 166 countries and 34 languages, it marked the culmination of a five-year business partnership and more than 25 years of friendship for the show’s creators, Sol Guy, 35, and Josh Thome, 36. 4REAL, hosted by Sol Guy, takes celebrity guests on adventures around the world to connect with young leaders who, under extreme circumstances, are effecting real change on some of the most pressing issues of our time. Josh and Sol went to school together, skateboarding and playing sports after class. After high school, they parted ways.
