If your Scouts are not signed up to attend one of our world class summer camping operations they will be missing out on memories that will last a lifetime and an opportunity to earn some very exciting advancement. We are employing a renewed sense of customer service this Summer like nothing you have seen before, we want your experience to very positive and we will go to great lengths to ensure you and your Pack, Troop or Crew have a mountain top time! If you haven't been to a Michigan Scouting Summer Camp in a while please come back and see us, as Dorothy said on the Wizard of Oz, "There's no place like home!"

In this position Drew will be providing leadership to the Council’s Training, Activities, Advancement, Camping, Customer Service Representative Day camps and programs. Peggy Etheridge Prior to coming to Southern Shores, Drew was a Unit Service Executive (USE) for the Eagle Spirit district in President Ford FSC – serving 4,016 youth and raising over $95,000 in Friends of Scouting and $406,000 in popcorn sales last year. Drew brings prior program experience as prior to becoming a USE, Drew worked for the YMCA as a leader in the Teen Adventure after school program, as a Scoutreach leader for President Ford from 2010-2013 and 8 summers on staff at Gerber Scout Reservation. While on staff at Gerber he served in the following roles: Aquatics staff / Director, Technology Director, Asst. Commissioner, Asst. , and Asst. Health Officer/ Health Officer. Drew’s other experiences include: Habit for Humanity, Church VBS Director, and vol. coordinator for the PFFSC Annual Eagle Scout celebration. Come join Scouts from across Michigan on the Grand River at the fi rst campout in 50 years to be held at historic Riverside Park. We will celebrate Troop 215’s Eagle Scout Heroes, Gerald R Ford and Roger B Chaffee as well as other heroes. Awesome activities include GRFD smokehouse, American Red Cross, Military/ Veterans, Police, First Responders, Astronaut activities, Gerald Ford Historic Trail, Ford Presidential Museum, Chaffee Planetarium and more. Come prepared to celebrate your own personal heroes, both real and fi ctional, as we encourage troops to decorate themselves and their campsites.
