Message from our Community Impact Director

In addition to the Journey to Excellence, there are three items I want to share with you this month as we serve our community, youth and Scouting.

1. Invest in Character (formerly Friends of Scouting) family campaign is in full swing. Presenters are visiting Pack nights, Blue and Gold Dinners, Courts of Honor, and unit meetings. If your unit has not had a presentation yet, I am sure it is scheduled. If you may be interested in being a presenter this year, please reach out to your District FOS or Finance Chair, or your District Executive. 2. The Lion Program is being rolled out this fall, but much work is going on right now to make sure we make a big impact come fall. District Executives, with the help of their Membership teams, are visiting schools and talking to superintendents letting them know about this exciting new program we will be offering to Kindergarten boys in the fall. 3. SAVE THE DATE—Thursday September 14 is our next Blast into Scouting night. That will be the night we will want volunteers in every school in our community and council. If you are interested in helping that night, please reach out to your District Executive or Membership Chair.
