This is the year to turn a talent or a hobby into an income or full time career. Saturn will give you the discipline you need to transform a vision into reality. Most of the time our passions do not blend well with our work, duties and responsibilities. Fun and duty are in a way, contradictions. As soon as we become responsible, we stop having fun. But in 2018 you can make an exception to the rule. You can be responsible, follow up your daily tasks, make a routine to get things done, and let your creativity flow and live a passionate life. In fact, most artists or creatives who eventually become successful have learned how to bring together these otherwise very different aspects of life: passion and duty. 2018 is your turn to do that. This year, you will become crystal clear about how you want to leave your mark in the world. You can decide to have a child, to become an entrepreneur, an artist, an entertainer, or pursue any type of activity that expresses the truth of who you are. 2018 is about you, is about being less 'Virgo' - always there for other people, always putting work before play - and instead, embracing your creativity and passions. Because Uranus, which rules work in your natal chart will move into the 9th house of higher perspective, your attitude towards work can change radically. You can have a breakthrough – life is not only about paying bills and dues, but also about learning, about exploring, about expanding your horizons, about daring more. In 2018 you are much more social than usual. Jupiter will make you communicate more authentically, more from your heart. You will no longer try to fit it, be too afraid to break the rules, and you will be more interested in establishing genuine connections with people who can understand and appreciate you. This year you are keen to learn new things and improve your skill set – DIY activities are especially favoured, but you can also start becoming more interested in the world of business and marketing. Your daily life can become more exciting, as you are living more in the present moment and worry less about the future. In the last two months of the year, you can expect important events in your family – you can welcome a new family member, change houses, improve the relationship with one of your parents. If you were considering starting a family, from November on you have the green light from the universe to do so. 2018 is an excellent year to pursue some long-term education, to go back to school, to travel, to learn about different cultures, to make friends from other countries, or even consider relocation. Because you are more keen than ever to try new things, opportunities will knock at your door. In 2017, spirituality already became an important part of your life. This year the trend will continue, as there are more lessons to be learned about trusting the universe, giving up on control, worrying less about work and duties. Astrology Forecasts, Month-by-Month January: You will start the year energized, focused and strong. After a complicated 2017, you are now set to make 2018 one of the best years of your life. And indeed, with Jupiter and Saturn in the social and creative houses of your chart, you have all the celestial support you need to lighten up and enjoy life. January is maybe the best time to listen to your heart, to be more honest about what you really want from life. Your social life will improve in January - this is probably the best time to get out of the house and make new connections. Children are also a highlight of the month – if you already have children, your relationship can improve, or if you don't have children, you can consider becoming a parent. January is a great month for romance, so if single, make sure you go on dates because chances are you are going to meet someone very special. February: February can bring some endings into your life. Don't try to control your environment too much, and let go of judgemental tendencies, over-analysis and worry. Surrender your fears to a higher power and trust that the Universe has your back, no matter what. When one door closes another one always opens – nothing is really lost, it simply emerges in another state of being. Your relationships are smoother in February and if single, towards the end of the month you can start a new relationship. March: In March your finances will come into focus. Your passive income can increase, you can receive some financial support from a partner or from the state, you can receive a loan if you have applied for it, or you can make long term investments or resource pooling. If you work for someone else, you can receive a bonus or some sort of financial reward. If you want to ask for a raise, the first 3 weeks of March are the best time to go for it – don't do it in the last week of March though, because Mercury, your chart and career ruler will be retrograde. April: Your workload can increase in April, and the first part of the month can be pretty chaotic. You can feel the burden of too many responsibilities – others will ask much more from you but because you have your own internal issues, you won't have much energy left over for others. Try to take a break if you can and focus on your inner world – April favours transformational work and introspection. The 2nd half of April is much better and your energy starts to rise again. May: In May your optimism is restored and you are ready to make some new plans for the future. You can experience a sudden disruption in your everyday routine – there can be changes at the workplace, some conditions about your health can change, and your routines in general can experience a big shift, as the ruler of your 6th house, Uranus, changes sign and moves into your 9th house. Because of the disruptions of your everyday routines, your outlook on life can completely change. You might realize you have been limiting yourself by playing safe and small all these years. Right now you are ready for a big adventure – an adventure that will change your life, or at least the next 7 or 8 years of your life. May is also a good time to go back to school, to pursue some education, or to travel abroad. June: In June you can get some support from a sponsor or a manager, but it will likely come at the cost of increased responsibilities. Because you are not really keen on putting extra work on your plate, you might well choose not to pursue some of the opportunities you are being offered, and instead spend more time on doing things you love. You know you need to make a decision about your priorities in life, and put yourself first, and your duties to the world, second. July: July is decision time. Something about your work, about your long-term goals needs to change. This is not the best time to start a completely new project, because Mars is retrograde, but if you have something you started in the past, you can now bring it to completion. In general, in July try to be more careful with your health, and if you can, avoid planning any surgeries. Friends are a source of joy and happiness in July, so try to spend as much time as you can in their company. August: August is still a hectic and busy month, but your relationships with other people will be especially rewarding. You can spend more time with your family, with your partner, and you can find some sort of creative working arrangements that will allow you to spend more time with ones that are dear to you. You can start working from home for example. If you work in the area of counselling, coaching, consulting, your income can increase. August is a good time to invest in your appearance, but try to avoid buying electronics or cars at least in the first half of the month, when Mercury is still retrograde. September: September is one of the best months of the year. Your energy levels and your optimism are at an all-time high. The situation at work can finally get clarified or you can solve the problems that arose in July-August, at the time of the Lunar Eclipse. Your communication is very persuasive – if you work in the area of PR, commerce, advertising, if you are a writer, you are especially favoured.

  • The Natural Zodiac: the Nature of the Archetypes in Evolutionary Astrology
The Natural Zodiac: The nature of the archetypes in Evolutionary Astrology. An introduction to the teachings of Jeffrey Wolf Green by Mark Jones, U.K. Pluto School, May 2003. The Zodiac itself represents or incorporates the totality of consciousness in human form on the earth in space-time reality. All of our human experience within the relative universe is contained within the 12 signs of the Zodiac. The next central point to understand is that from the perspective of Evolutionary Astrology there is no essential difference between a planetary embodiment of an archetype or that of a house cusp or planet – in simple terms, with the example of the first archetype Aries - there is no difference between the sign Aries, the first house and the planet Mars. They all carry some essential quality as the first of the twelve – they all share an essential similarity. What you are actually looking at when you look at a chart is how any given consciousness is structured. The 12 archetypes provide energy and quality within a multiplicity of possible interactions with each other to create the diversity of possible experience in life on earth. Rather like DNA the 12 strands or archetypes of the zodiac provide a blueprint for all experience. ARIES Aries is a Cardinal, Fire and Yang archetype. This correlates with the nature of energy moving outwards from the center, projected energy (whereas the Yin archetypes correspond to energy returning to the center). Whilst the Yin/Yang dynamic of the signs represents the natural polarity of our universe, the trinity of Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable signs adds a further dimension to the type of energy expressed.

  • Astrology Vs. Astronomy
Name: Pd. Date: Astrology vs. Astrono my Astrologists claim that a person’s character and destiny can be determined by the position of the sun, moon, and stars at the time of his or her birth. A person’s sign is the constellation that the sun is in at the time of birth. To say that the sun is in a sign is to say that the constellation, the sun, and the earth are in a straight line. Astrologists use 12 constellations, found in a circle around the sky. The dates that the sun is in each constellation vary by approximately 4 ½ weeks, and have not changed for millennia. Astronomers know that the sun actually travels through 13 constellations, and that the sun stays in each constellation for a different amount of time, depending on the size of the constellation. Astronomers also know that the direction the earth is pointing in changes slightly over a thousand years, so the position of the constellation the sun is in has changed slightly. • The Zodiac: Astronomy Vs Astrology
The Zodiac: Astronomy vs Astrology Astronomy: Astronomy is the study of all objects outside Earth’s atmosphere. These objects include the Sun, Moon, planets, stars, galaxies and all other matter in the universe. The zodiac is linked to astronomy because it is closely tied to how the Earth orbits the sun. As Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to pass in front of different constellations. Much like the moon appears in a slightly different place in the sky each night, the location of the sun (relative to distant background stars) drifts in an easterly direction from day to day. It’s not that the sun is actually moving. Its motion is entirely an illusion, caused by Earth’s own motion around our star. As the Earth orbits the sun, the sun appears to move against the background stars (red line). The constellations (green) through which the sun passes define the zodiac. Over the course of a year, the sun appears to be in front of, or “in”, different constellations. One month, the sun appears in Gemini; the next month, in Cancer. Astrology: Astrology is the study of how the positions of the stars and movements of the planets have a supposed influence on events and on the lives and behaviour of people. An astrologer looks at the planets' positions and tries to understand a person's character or tries to predict the future. Each of the zodiac signs are said to have different personality traits. Here is some more information about the characteristics associated with each sign: Aries (March 21 – April 19) Aries loves to be number one, so it’s no surprise that these audacious rams are the first sign of the zodiac.
