I am also excited that we have new teacher features this year…but don’t worry; some of the favorites are still there! Look through all our items carefully—if you want to see them in person, come early on auction day at 9 a.m. to see them displayed before the bidding starts. Remember, all proceeds go to the school's Parent/Teacher Fellowship for our annual budget, allocating funds to the library, art room, teacher supplies & bonuses, playground maintenance, computer room, etc., so bid as high as you can!     ABSTRACT MENEFEE, WILLIAM CHADWICK. The Impact of Retro Stadiums on Major League Baseball Franchises. (Under the direction of Dr. Judy Peel). The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of “retro” stadiums on professional baseball franchises. Retro stadiums, baseball-exclusive facilities modeled on classic architectural designs of the past, were built at an increasing rate beginning in 1992 with Baltimore’s Camden Yards. This study analyzed changes in franchises’ attendance, winning percentage, revenue and team value in the seasons following a team’s relocation to a retro stadium. Retro stadiums were found to positively increase attendance, revenue and team value for franchises at a higher rate than teams that did not build retro stadiums. An analysis of these variables and a discussion of the results for all individual franchises that constructed retro stadiums during the 1992-2004 period are presented in this study. On Monday, Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred said Rose had formally applied to have his lifetime ban lifted. Manfred said he would "deal with" Rose's request. Rose, who has been banned from the game since 1989, was ruled ineligible for the Hall in 1991, when the organization voted to ban players on baseball's permanently ineligible list. If reinstated, Rose would have to be elected to the Hall by Expansion Era Committee, according to Hall of Fame spokesman Brad Horn. "Rose would be an eligible candidate for Hall of Fame consideration based on if he were to be reinstated by Major League Baseball," Horn wrote to the Enquirer in an email on Monday. "Should Rose be moved off Baseball's Ineligible list, his candidacy would fall to the Expansion Era Committee (which next votes next winter – 2016 for Induction in 2017), based on the rules for election. Only candidates who last appeared in a major league game within a 15-year window can be considered by the BBWAA."'
