Booth University College EDUCATION FOR A BETTER WORLD The Board of Trustees of Booth University College, under the auspices of the Booth University College Presidential Search Committee, invites inquiries, applications and nominations for the position of President. The appointment of the new President will be made with effect on 1 July 2016. Founded in 1982 as Catherine Booth Bible College, Booth University College is, today, a vibrant, growing, Christian liberal arts institution offering on campus and distance learning opportunities. Located in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, the University College offers programs leading to Bachelor Degrees in Behavioural Sciences, Business Administration, English and Film Studies, General Studies, Psychology, Religion, and Social Work, as well as Certificate Programs in Christian Studies and Liberal Arts. Its School for Continuing Studies is a modern, well-equipped centre of learning which focuses on on-campus and distance learning experiences for degree completion and currently offers unique certificate programs including: Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care, Not-for-profit Management and Congregational Leadership. The University College also includes a Centre for Salvation Army Studies, a small, focused institute whose overall purpose is to nurture high quality research on the Canadian and international Salvation Army. The new President will possess an earned doctoral degree, excellent communications skills and experience in leading and managing a complex organization in a challenging financial environment. S/he will be a servant leader, who possesses a commitment to academic quality and an ability to identify, recruit, manage and nurture academic and administrative talent.
