Rajya Sabha Television (RSTV) an in house television channel of the Upper House of the Parliament of India, intends to hire an agency for annual maintenance of two (02) 160 KVA DG Sets installed in their Studio at 12A Gurudwara Rakabganj Road, New Delhi-110001. 2. Sealed bids in response to Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) are invited from OEM i.e. M/s Cummins India Ltd and or their authorised agencies for Comprehensive Annual Maintenance Contract of two (02) 160 KVA DG Sets supplied by M/s Cummins India Ltd. The quotations may be addressed to the undersigned and may reach the undersigned by 18th April, 2019. 3. The OEM/ authorised dealers / agencies are required to visit this office to see/ inspect the site, where the above said two DG Sets are installed, before submitting the bid. The OEM/ authorised firms/agencies are also required to submit their scope of work (Mechanical contract/ Electrical contract) and terms and condition for the acceptance of competent authority. Once the bid is submitted, it will be presumed that the bidder has seen and understood the complete work involved for Annual Maintenance Contract of the said two DG Sets. 4. The bid(s) shall be opened in the office of RSTV on 22nd April, 2019 at 4.00 P.M in the presence of the bidders who may wish to be present at the time. The contract will be awarded to L1 bidder for a period of one year after completion of due procedure. 5. Minutes of Meeting with Public Agencies on Preparedness for ASEAN Summit January 23, 2018 at CPCB, Delhi A meeting to assess preparedness for ongoing ASEAN summit was held at Parivesh Bhavan, CPCB, Delhi on January 23, 2018, chaired by the Head, AQM, CPCB. List of participants is placed at Annexure-I. Dr. Prashant Gargava, Head AQM welcomed the participants and informed the plan of events of ASEAN summit. He emphasized need for continuing extensive field actions especially at 08 identified locations (Hotel Lalit, Chanakyapuri, Paravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Rajpath, Taj Diplomatic Enclave,Azad Bhawan, Talkatora Stadium, Tughlaqbad Avenue), where frequent movement of State Heads is scheduled, along with other areas which are likely to contribute to overall high ambient air quality levels in Delhi. In addition, public agencies were advised to take following actions till January 31, 2018, 1. Concerned implementing agencies (DPCC, MCDs, Traffic Police, etc.) to ensure extensive deployment of manpower (may consider deputing volunteers) and machinery during the ASEAN Summit and ensure strict vigilance, especially in hotspot locations (Anand Vihar, DTU, Shadipur, R K Puram, Punjabi Bagh, Mandir Marg, Bhalaswa landfill) 2. TIS in the Headlines Atal Tinkering Laboratories – Innovation Challenge, 2016 NITI Aayog, Government of India, has selected the school for establishing Atal Tinkering Laboratories in the school premises. ATL is a work space where young minds can give shape to their ideas through hands on do-it-yourself mode and learn innovation skills. The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. Several schools from all over India were invited to showcase and present innovative solutions for any two challenges being faced by the neighbourhood community. Mehul Chabri, Shruti Katoch and Vishesh Gulla of Class XI of the school, assisted by their teachers Ms. Shikha Shah, Ms. Lipi Goswami, Ms. Amita Gulla, Ms. Kanika Reiki and Ms. Jayalakshmi proposed the models for ‘Bio-Bin’ and ‘We Care Rickshaws’. The models were greatly appreciated by the judges. Out of the 257 schools that made it to the final list the school is one among the 29 schools selected from Delhi/NCR to establish Atal Tinkering Laboratories. Ambassador of peace International Festival of Language and Culture is one of the largest and most prominent organisations for promoting world languages, cultures and peace. “Commonwealth game and its impact on our tourism Industry” “A Study in the light of Commonwealth games Delhi 2010” Anurupa B Singh*, Suman Kumar** & Gunjesh Kumar** Abstract World Events like Olympics, Commonwealth Games, and Asian Games have far reaching impact on the economy of the country hosting it. Tourism industry is often the one which benefits the most. India is gearing up to host the Commonwealth 2010.The purpose of the study is to judge the effect of these events on the developing nations. The impact which leads to development of infrastructural projects along with simultaneous up gradation of public amenities. Looking into the other side of the coin, it also leads to displacement of large number of poor people who flock these big cities for employment. Also investment of huge amount of funds for these projects is particularly eminent in case of developing countries like India. The paper studies the cases of Beijing Olympics to be held in China (2008) and Barcelona Olympics in Spain (1992). The rationality of these games to be held in Delhi is explored by comparing the experiences of Asian Games held in Delhi (1982). The CWG is going to be the first mega-event hosted by Delhi since the 1982 Asian Games, a gap of nearly thirty years. Much has changed, and yet much remains to be unchanged in this time. India is preparing to break out on the world scene as an economic superpower, and the games are a step in propelling India on to the world stage. Yet India is still a poor country, ranked 127 out of 177 in the Human Development Index (HDI), and therefore one must question the rationale of spending more than a billion dollars on a sporting event.
