ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION

The Learning Community (http://thelearningcommunity.org.in) is an organization developed for the improvement in the ways of teaching and learning by the application of creativity and innovative practices in Education System. Objectives of the organization are to develop and promote Learning & Education and to provide a forum for discussion and deliberations on issues and problems related to Education in general and Learning in particular. ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The Foundation of S. C. Bose P. G. College was laid by famous Educationist Late Sri Lal Singh, Which runs under the ‘Subhash Educational Society’. The Society is dedicated to the cause of Educational and Social upliftment of weaker sections of the society. Educational Society is running two inter colleges,one industrial training institute,one law college and Seven primary education center under " MEDHVI 40" scheme for uplifting of rural education. Society's new education center namely Subhash Chandra Bose institute of higher Education, IIM Road, Prabhandh Nagar, Lucknow is under process of association with Lucknow University. S. C. Bose P. G. College, Hardoi is a Post-Graduate college affiliated with C. S. J. M. University, Kanpur and recognized by NCTE for B. Ed. & BTC. Education faculty of Institute is accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘B’. The college has 5 Faculties viz. B.Ed., BTC, M.A., B.A. & B. Sc.

CONNECTIVITY

Subhash Chandra Bose P.G. College is situated at near Gausganj Town in Uttar-Pradesh. Hardoi District is linked with Four major Districts namely Sitapur, Kannauj, Lucknow & Shahjahanpur. All these Districts are well connected to Hardoi through Roadways. Nearest Air Port is Amausi, which is 15 Km. away from Lucknow & Nearest Railway Station is and Jn., both are 17 Km. & 10 Km. away from College, respectively. In addition, there is abundance of frequent Trains from Delhi and Other Stations.

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

Teachers are key players in maintaining and improving the quality of education and training systems. In the present era of technology, teacher’s obligation is confined not only to acquire new knowledge and skills but to develop them continuously also. The education and professional development of every teacher needs to be seen as a lifelong task, and be structured and resourced accordingly. Professional development refers to activities to enhance professional career growth of teachers to foster teacher’s growth. Professional development of teachers is to develop new insights into pedagogy and their own practices, and explore new or advanced understandings of contents and resources. To equip the teaching body with the skills and competences requires continuous professional development programmes. This seminar is a small step in this direction. The main objective of the seminar is to gather teachers, teacher educators, academicians, and scholars on single platform to deliberate and attain valuable and viable suggestions for professional development of teachers.

Selected papers will be published in the various international journals and edited books of the Learning Community which will be available on payment basis (discount rates)at the seminar venue.

Schedule for Submission of Abstracts / Full Papers: Extended Abstract with five keywords (Approx. 350 words) or Full paper (Approx. 3000-4000 words) with a short running resume (not more than 200 characters) words, either in ENGLISH or HINDI (As per the format used by international journals)) should be submitted by 15th July, 2012 through email only in MS-Word (2003 version) format Font Size 12, Times New Roman (for English), Krutidev 010 (for Hindi) with description of the, title, author/s name, designation, college/university/institute , email-id, mobile / telephone number. ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation in hostel will be provided without any extra charges to the participants registered before Sep 15, 2012.(on request only). The request for accommodation must be made latest by Sep 15, 2012. In any case, Accommodation facility shall not be provided owing to absence of prior information or communication received after due date.

TRAVEL SUPPORT

The participants are required to arrange/ bear their own travel expenses. From Lucknow to Hardoi travel arrangement will be made by the organizing College.
