POLY BOND–VDI

FOR MEDIUM SOFT FINISH ON FABRIC &

CO-BINDER FOR KHADI PRINTING

Poly Bond-VDI is a highly plasticized homopolymer of vinyl acetate in the form of milky white flowable viscous emulsion. It is tailored for finishing of . It imparts high body with medium soft feel and dimensional stability to synthetic, blended & cotton textiles.

Poly Bond-VDI is also recommended as Co-binder for Khadi & Foam Printing. It’s high plastisiser content & uniform particle size distribution help to get an extra coverage, proper get up & continuity of prints as required in Khadi & Foam printing.

Poly Bond-VDI can also be used as binder for carpet back coating along with natural latex.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

1) It is nonflammable, nontoxic and non-hazardous normal conditions of use. 2) Splashes in the eyes and on the skin should be immediately washed with plenty of water to avoid irritation and discomfort. 3) Prolonged skin contact be avoided. Protective gloves and barrier creams are advisable for anyone handling resin products regularly. 4) Proper ventilation should be provided in the work area as with all synthetic resins. It contain traces of residual monomer and organic substances. Smoking should be discouraged in the work area. 5) Spillage on clothing and in the work areas be immediately washed with water.

APPLICATION DETAILS

Poly Bond-VDI imparts a medium soft finish & high body along with dimensional stability on 100% cotton, 100% polyester & blended fabrics.

Poly Bond-VDI can be applied along with almost all kinds of softeners, DMDHEU resins, catalyst, & other finishing ingredients to give a suitable stiff finish to all kinds of fabric. An indicative finishing recipe containing Poly Bond-VDI for the finishing of polyester-cotton blended dress materials to impart a medium finish will be as follows:

Poly Bond-VDI 20 – 70 gpl

Silicon Emulsion (10%) 15 – 20 gpl

Cationic Softener (18%) 20 – 30 gpl

Reactive Softener 20 – 40 gpl

PE Emulsion (20%) 10 – 20 gpl

Acetic Acid for pH adjustment to a 4 – 5 pH.

Dosage of Poly Bond-VDI in the above recipe will depend on the finisher’s requirements.

Poly Bond-VDI is the most popular Co-blinder for Khadi & Foam Printing, available in the market. Poly Bond-VDI is recommended at a dosage level of 2 – 5 % in Khadi printing paste for better print coverage in case of printing by Flat Bed & Rotary Printing machine. However in case of printing by Hand Screen process 5-10 % Poly Bond-VDI is recommended in Khadi as well as in Foam printing paste for its smooth flow through the screen during printing.

Stretchable Khadi printing on hosiery using Poly Bond-VDI is done as per the following recipe.

 Vamulsion TPI 2139 100 parts (Soft Binder)  TiO2 (Anatase grade) 100 parts (Titanium di-oxide powder)  Poly Bond-VDI 150 parts  Vamulsion Tex 355 50 parts (SBR Rubber Latex, Soft variety)  Pigment Colour Dispersion As required (Nil ,in case of getting white print)

Here printing is done by hand screen & to get thicker layer 4 – 8 strokes are given, while drying the printed cloth by a hand drier after every two strokes.

ACZA SOFT

Acza Soft is synthetic product for smooth and firm handle, slip resistance finish for all kind of fabrics.

SPECIFICATION:

PROPERTIES:

Acza soft Imparts soft lustrous silky effects on fabrics. It also improves the texture and body of fabrics. It is effective on all types of fabrics – natural and synthetics, when used along with other thermosetting resins, remarkable durable finish is obtained which is resistant to repeated washing.

Acza soft when used along with wash and wear finished helps to get excellent control by helping to get balance finishers and smoothness. Acza soft does not develop rancidity or discolouration on standing. Its treatment on fabrics also does not develop odour or discolouration.

APPLICATION:

Acza soft gives full, firm and smooth finish to all kind of fabrics. Acza soft has advantage over starch or glue which are not fast to washing and the finish is removed in the first washing it self. It has also got better advantage over polyvinly Acetate Emulsions which imports a very harsh feel and higher amounts of softness have to be used to over come this effect,

Acza soft is readdily soluble in water and it is applied in the form of aqueous solution on which. Jigger or pad. Then goods are entered direct in to the finishing bath dries and cured. Some of the typical applications are listed below for the use of Acza soft for various type of fabrics.

Thus in the finishing of textile fabrics to get the desired finish very much depends upon the proper choice of the most suitable finishing agent. This is particularly true when the finisher has to produce a finish which is full firm and also soft that too with a body to the fabrics. The Acza soft is the best aid to the today’s finishing problems.

POLY BOND - SNI

FINISHING AGENT FOR IMPARTING HIGH STIFFNESS & BODY TO NET FABRIC

Poly Bond SNI is a polymeric textile stiffener offered in the form of milky white flowable viscous aqueous emulsion. It is specially designed to impart high stiffness and body. Feel and dimensional stability to net type & very lightly constructed made of polyester, nylon & cotton fibres.

Poly Bond SNI is also recommended for replacing starch in the finishing of polyester & nylon curtain nets, net , P/C & P/V as well as cotton & synthetic mosquito nets & .

APPLICATION DETAILS :

Poly Bond SNI can be used for stiffing all net type woven well as knitted fabries without blocking the perforations of such fabric, which occurs in starch based finishing.

Poly Bond SNI is compatible to almost all kinds of commonly used finishing bath ingredients like softeners, DMDHEU & UF resins. Catalyst, starch etc, & can be used at 50 – 300 gpl level as per the desired stiffness & body of the finished fabric.

In finishing synthetic knitted curtain nets:

Poly Bond SNI is specially designed for imparting dimensional stability to 100% polyester nylon or Knitted Net fabric which are normally very loose & difficult to cut & handle.

Poly Bond SNI also imparts a high level of stiffing effects with body on 100% synthetic net certain fabrics which are popularly known as either Deluxe or Maharani grade. This recipe can be used to finish 100% cotton knitted lace & mosquito net.

Poly Bond SNI 100 parts

Urea-Formaldehyde Resin (solid content = 40%) 100 - 200 parts

DAP (25% aqueous solution) as catalyst 4 parts

Di-ammonium hydrogen (DAP) powder should be Diluted 1:3 in water (to 25% strength) prior to the addition into the finishing bath. DAP is a catalyst for the curing of UF resin.

Finishing application is normally carried out in padding mangle followed by dying/curing at about 150 degrees C for 2 – 3 mins.

Due to this treatment the fabric can be handle properly since the above finishing gives a true dimension to the net structure of such fabric. STORAGE CONDITION

The product should be storage indoors in the original unopened and undamaged packing in a dry place, preferably at temperature below 35˚C. Exposure to direct sunlight should be avoided.

SOFTEX - 100

NON-IONIC CONCENTRATE SOFTNER.

 Expecially suitable for white goods.  Imparts a smooth handle of the desired softness.  Is Free from any tendency to yellowing at high drying and curring temperatures; there fore suitable for use in resin finishing of white goods.  Is compatible with cationics and anionics.  Is effective in combined application with optical brightening agents.  Has no effect on the shade or the light fastness of dyeing.  Is applicable as lubricant in dyebaths. 1. Properties : Appearance White Paste. Lonic Character Non-ionic Chemical Character Fatty acid derivative. 2. Application Softex-100 can be used for all fibres and fabrics for acquiring soft and full handle. It is applied as a self finish or in combination with other finishing chemicals and optical brightening agents.

AS A SELF FINISH

By padding with 80% Pick up 10 – 30 g/l Softex – 100 Dry at 1200 By Exhaust 2 – 3 % Softax at about 500C for 15 – 20 mins.

Note : Addition of 0.3 – 0.5 % OTI Liquid along with Softex – 100 gives rewetting properties.
