The terms of this technical rider are meant to standardize the performances of “The Blues Project” as well as the dialogue between the technical representatives of COMPANY, VENUE and PRESENTER.

Many points within are negotiable and adaptable to the specifics of the presentation and venue.

A: GENERAL INFORMATION

SYNOPSIS: “The Blues Project” consists of: 4 9 tap dancers 4 5 4 10 musical numbers 4 NO play back. 4 Dancers will ENTER/EXIT throughout the performance, and will need to use the most upstage crossover.

RUN TIME: Approx 1:15 (no intermission)

FOH/LATE SEATING: Approx 5 min after top of show and 10 min after top of show. Stage Management will communicate with FOH.

4 The stage will consist of 1 seamless TAP FLOOR** that will encompass approximately 40W x 20D of playing space. **SEE: p.4 and p.5 4 Band risers will line the most upstage edge of the TAP FLOOR, appx 40’ SL to SR, at 18-24”H, minimum 4’W. The face of the risers will be masked. 4 Cyc, scrim, and bounce will be UPSTAGE of the band risers as per DD’s LD.

OFF STAGE: 4 Dancers will need 6 orchestra chairs (or similar) OFF STAGE L and R. 4 A PROP TABLE or similar surface should be placed OFF STAGE L and R. 4 Prop Tables 4 Bottles of water 4 Towels and powder 4 Running lights OFF STAGE L and R. 4 Mirrors OFF STAGE L and R. 4 A **PHILLIPS HEAD screwdriver for tap screws will be placed OFF LEFT and RIGHT. (**DD will provide Phillips head)

CROSS OVER/OFF STAGE: The company/dancers will need to use the most UPSTAGE cross over. Keep in mind that the dancers will be wearing TAP SHOES. It is suggested that OFF STAGE L/R, and the UPSTAGE crossover be lined with carpet/runners. Gaffers tap will be needed to secure any carpet/runners to the deck.

QUICK CHANGE/OFF STAGE: There are several quick costume changes, for both men and women. A private area OFF STAGE R/L with adequate light, a chair and places for costumes should be made available.

DD has access to a TAP FLOOR for the performance and is available for rental.

It will be predetermined as to whether the VENUE will provide flooring or rent from DD. It is suggested that 4 crew members assist in the construction of the TAP FLOOR. DD will allocate crew positions during the build.

DD TAP FLOOR Dimensions: - 38'4" W (39'4" with SR/SL ramp extensions) - 22'2" D - ¾” H (appx) - 5 panels deep/row x 31 rows SR to SR . (SEE: Additional Photos of “Tap Floor”, p.6)

The TAP FLOOR will be constructed moving upstage, then from SR to SL.

RENTAL TAP FLOOR via VENUE: Tap floor rentals that are handled via the VENU: - seamless wood flooring - sprung - preferably blond in color - minimum of 40’W and 20’D.

COSTUMES/QUICK CHANGE/OFF STAGE: There are several quick costume changes, for both men and women. A private area OFF STAGE R/L with adequate light, a chair and places for costumes should be made available.

WARDROBE/CLEANING: Costumes should be cleaned, deodorized and pressed prior to each performance.

DRESSING ROOMS – 3 TOTAL (men, women, musicians): 4 All dressing rooms must be large enough to occupied at least 5 dancers. 4 Musicians will have a separate dressing room 4 Chairs 4 Make up mirrors with adequate lighting. 4 Garment racks 4 Separate restrooms must be easily accessible to both men and women. 4 Stage and SM AUDIO monitoring system
