Township Inspection - Summary Report April 16, 2011

Present: Richard Bresnahan, John Merdan, LeRoy Gondringer, Ken Mergen, Stephen Saupe

Summary: Participants met at the Town Hall parking lot at 9:00 AM. The group drove all the in the township looking for any problems with the , brush/trees in the right-of-way, problems with signs, and other issues. The inspection was completed by 12:30 PM. The following is a listing problems noted. If a road is not listed, no problems were identified. The roads are listed in roughly the order in which they were visited. The Supervisors suggested vacating two roads, one of which was 180th. The other is off Quaker Road.

165th Ave (south of Queens) • Remove large tree inside fence • sign post needs to be replaced; post snapped

165th Ave (north of Queens) • Straighten the sign at the with Queens • Stop ahead sign down near intersection with County Road 9 • Fix ruts/grade at cul-de-sac

160th Ave • Candidate for overlaying on the S end and rubberizing on the N end • Eibensteiner construction appears satisfactory – return damage deposit • Stop Ahead sign tipped near N end • signs look OK

355th St • brush piles in ditch • stop sign needs straightening at corner with 140th • several frost boils and areas caving in; lots of problems

365th St • remove trees and brush by Gold N Plump barn • check for rubberizing • gravel side – minimum maintenance road needs grading

145th Ave • candidate for overlaying • leaning sign

175th Ave • candidate for rubberizing

Two Rivers Road • Lots of cracks; candidate for overlaying • Missing sign at intersection with 190th • Checking at intersection with SUnnyfield Circle

186th Ave • candidate for rubberizing • sign down near intersection with 377th

Sunnyfield Circle • Sign missing at intersection with Two Rivers Road

Cardinals Nest • Trim brush at intersection with 190th

St Anna Dr. • Candidate for overlaying west of 190th • Candidate for rubberizing east of 190th

Sara • Remove brush near cul-de-sac • Candidate for rubberizing

Pelican Lake Road • Trim branches on trees near 36914 and 36423 • Candidate for rubberizing • Clean up downed tree • Sign needs to be straightened • Tire in ditch

Red Maple Drive • Frost boils • Cracking near entrance

Tower Road • Sign at intersection with 360th leaning • Arrow signs missing near Quaker Road • Lumber dumped in ditch to be removed • Leaning elm on corner • South end checkered; candidate for overlaying in the future

Peach Drive • Consider grading

Shorewood Dr. • Pothole at intersection, contact the County to repair • Culvert sinking, needs to be leveled • Brush out along road • Need to determine property line

Norway Road • Potholes to be filled • Straighten Curve-ahead sign • Patches on corner west of Martini residence • 100 foot patch east of Martini residence where tar is coming apart

135th Ave • Some potholes to be repaired

325th St • potholes at end of road • pothole west of Phillippi farm • tree to be cleaned up across from Phillippi farm

Upper Spunk Lake Road • Potholes, near intersection with Co Rd 156 and with Spunk Tree Circle

182nd Ave • Contact Knife River/Bonestroo to remove storm/drainage fence

Noble Oak Circle • Fix up side of road

Norman Road • Large crack

Parkwood Circle • Sign down near intersection with Princewood • Brush corner near 15612 • Road heaving and breaking up near 15525

Princewood • Remove tree on side of road

Queens Road • Brush out and cut up downed tree near intersection with 160th
