& SMP - Studio Montanari & Partners s.r.l. - is a consulting company operating since 1986 in design and buildings construction for catering and hospitality sectors. We work collaboratively with public and private clients to create and manage buildings that offer a high level of quality of service to end users. In this specific area we plan and supervise works for universities and hospital catering systems, company-restaurants, municipal cooking centre and in commercial, touristic and hotel sector. Our projects reflect our knowledge of food production process and hotel facilities management. Antonio Montanari (founder and CEO) carries out his own activity since 1968. He is specialised in catering sector since 1974. He is a designer and site supervisor for university restaurants (Cagliari, Catania, Perugia), company restaurants (Dalmine), foodservice facilities (Camst Sicilia, Union Cucine Sesto S. Giovanni, Municipality of Sesto San Giovanni). He carries out important public and private works for company restaurants as, for example, ENEL Headquarter in Rome; besides he cooperates with Fiat Engineering for the optimization of the new program for the company catering. He frequently cooperates with specialised magazines, he takes part in numerous conferences as lecturer and he is nominated member of commission for numerous calls for tenders; he’s F.C.S.I. Italy vice-president, (F.C.S.I. - international association of consultants for the catering sector). In 2004 archt. Montanari offered a synthesis of his own experience in this sector, publishing a book called: “Eating outside – Italian restaurants logic and techniques: from osteria to fast-food”. He is a professor of the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo since 2006, he teaches a course called “Catering System” and he has been a teacher member in many Master’s degree seminars in “Gastronomic sciences and quality products”.
