EDITORIAL AND ENDORSEMENTS What goes around, conies around t's your choice for US Senator. Republican candidate Doug Forrester spent the spring and summer telling voters that he was not Robert Torricelli, and telling the scandal scarred Torricelli that he shoufd resign in disgrace. Well, Mr. Forrester got what he wished for and now it turns out that the only thing we know about him is that he is not Robert Torricelli. He seems to be a competent enough individual, more friendly in per- Ison than on TV. But one cant help believe that he feels more comfortable with the country club set of Somerset County than on the streets of South Bergen. Democrat , on the other hand, is a known quantity. An honest, straight forward man who can be counted on to vote the party line. Lautenberg would get our endorsement if it wasn't for the shabby way he campaigned against Millicent Fenwick in his first campaign. Millicent was a classy, cigar smoking, senior citizen and the then much younger Lautenberg, now 78 years old, challenged her ability to do the job because of her age.
