MoveOn is a community of millions of members working together to create progressive change in America. We organize to challenge entrenched power and push back against right- wing policies, while pursuing economic, racial, and social justice and a vision of a country in which everyone can thrive. Whether it's supporting a candidate, fighting to pass legislation, or working to change our culture, MoveOn members are committed to an inclusive and progressive future. We envision a world marked by equality, sustainability, justice, and love. And we mobilize together to achieve it. Since 1998, we have been at the forefront of innovating new ways digital tech can empower ordinary people from all walks of life to make their voices heard. MoveOn members have played a leading role in ending the war in Iraq, passing and defending landmark legislation such as the Affordable Care Act, and advancing racial, economic, and other forms of social justice. Search conducted by Development Resources, inc. www.driconsulting.com Priorities for Now and the Future MoveOn is more than our name. It is our challenge to America: to move forward boldly and fearlessly, upholding and enacting the values that will make our country work for all of us. MoveOn has a particularly important role to play in the Trump era. We are working to defeat Donald Trump and the GOP in 2020 by building a powerful, multiracial, and economic populist movement that will give voters something to vote for, not just against—and we're also working to defend communities that are on the front lines of Trump and GOP attacks, including immigrants, people of color, the LGBTQ community, and women. In service of that mission, in 2020 and beyond, MoveOn will drive impactful, movement-connected, multichannel, nimble campaigns aimed at impact. Over the last 6 years, MoveOn’s combined budget more than quadrupled, its reach and visibility exploded, and MoveOn members emerged as central players in our nation’s politics. MoveOn’s base of recurring donors has quadrupled, MoveOn’s membership of millions now reaches into every one of the nation’s 3,000 counties, and the organization has grown massive SMS and video programs to engage and mobilize progressives around the country. In this period the staff has nearly tripled and MoveOn has undergone major changes including a rebrand last year, the in-housing of the MoveOn tech team, and innovation in the areas of video persuasion and production, digital advertising, mobile organizing, and online campaigns. The organization has prioritized equity as a practice internally and externally, and has contributed millions of dollars in grants contributed to other progressive and community organizations. The next Chief of Program will capitalize on these large strides, along with an unprecedented degree of voter engagement, to lead wide- impact initiatives that advance MoveOn’s mission and create a more equal and just country for all.
