Day 1 Thursday 21st January Costanera Sur, Buenos Aires, Argentina After an overnight flight from Heathrow we arrived in Buenos Aires where we were met by David and Paul. We boarded four coaches to reach our next airport, but en route we stopped for lunch at a wonderful wetland reserve called Costanera Sur. The water was filled with a bewildering variety of waterbirds: Coscoroba Swans, Southern Screamers, Silver Teals, Rosybills, White-tufted Grebes, Red-gartered Coots, Wattled Jacanas, Limpkins, Giant Wood Rail, Rufescent Tiger Heron and a tiny Stripe-backed Bittern.
