IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES MAY 19, 2005 Mr. BLUMENAUER introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means A BILL To suspend temporarily the duty on certain bicycle parts. 1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa- 2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 3 SECTION 1. CERTAIN BICYCLE PARTS. 4 (a) IN GENERAL.—Subchapter II of chapter 99 of 5 the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is 6 amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following 7 new heading: ‘‘ 9902.87.12 Unicycles (provided for in subheading 8712.00.50) ...... In 2010, the Commission launched a comprehensive strategic planning initiative to update its existing strategic plan and help align agency priorities to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. For example, globalization and technological advances have increased the range of products on the market, as well as the challenges involved in overseeing and regulating thousands of product types that can be assembled across multiple countries.
