Cramond Kirk Grapevine SPRING.indd 7 18/02/2019 09:38 Safety Boat for Sea Scouts Jumble Sale proceeds are normally split between the Kirk, Fresh Start and a different charity every year. This year’s nominated charity is Cramond Sea Scouts who need to replace their elderly safety boat. Cramond Sea Scouts provide unique opportunities for children to learn new skills and develop confidence with water sports including sailing, windsurfing, boating. They also discover the wonders of the great outdoors, rather than turning to their phones as first port of call for entertainment. Safety is the most important factor in providing these aquatic activities. The safety boat is a key piece of kit, but represents a significant cost to the unit. The Scouts are looking forward to being involved with the Jumble Sale. Start your spring cleaning with a bang! Support the Jumble Sale by bringing along your unused items. Important! - all electrical items must be at the Hall by 4pm on Friday for safety testing, otherwise they cannot be sold. And please come along on 9 March to support all these worthwhile charities, finding yourself something interesting at the same time.More details on page 3. Claire Chapman Jumble Sale Convenor 2019
