CHIPMUNKS, The 9 Characters created by Ross Bagdasarian ("") who named Alvin, Simon and Theodore after Liberty executives Alvin Bennett, Simon Waronker and Theodore Keep. The Chipmunks starred in own prime-time animated TV show in the early 1960s and a Saturday morning cartoon series in the mid-1980s. Bagdasarian died on 1/16/1972 (age 52). Starred in 31 movies (beginning with Love Me Tender in 1956). In U.S. Army from 1958-60. Married to Priscilla Beaulieu from 1967-73. Their only child, Lisa Marie (born on 2/1/1968), was married to from 1994-96. Elvis's last "live" performance was in Indianapolis on 6/26/1977. Won Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1971. Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.

Karen played drums in group with Richard and bass player Wes Jacobs in 1965. Won the 1970 Best New Artist Grammy Award. Karen died of heart failure due to anorexia nervosa on 2/4/1983 (age 32).
