JUICE IN FLORIDA

Juice recently performed in Florida Steve Layton a JNFC member attended the show. This is what Steve had to say about Juice’s performance…

“I FINALLY saw Juice tonight at the Pinellas Park, Florida "Country in the Park" concert. She sounded even better live than on her CD's...her spirit and love of performing is so obvious when you see her and "The Regenerators" live.

What more can I say? It was such a perfect evening, and I hope Juice returns to Florida soon. I wouldn't trade this evening for anything!”

-Steve Layton-

If you have seen Juice recently, send your story into the JNFC and I will post your experience in the Fall Newsletter.

THE COLLECTION

Great news! “The Collection” Juice’s current release is selling very well according to Amazon.com. Many of you have written in inquiring about the reason Juice re-recorded her songs again.

The Collection is a compilation of freshly recorded songs that contains Juice’s favorite songs that she has recorded throughout her career. Some of the tracks from “The Collection” include releases before her big break in the music business.

This CD is a ‘reflection” of Juice’s career. There are several songs on the listing that were not recorded on the updated compilation CD from 1998 called “The Trouble With Angels.”

Juice wanted to express her answers with JNFC Members regarding this CD.

Which rendition is your favorite on the CD "THE COLLECTION?"

“It seems like one of my all time favorites is always The Sweetest Thing. That song has something new each time.”

Why did you record the hits once again?

“It was a chance to work with another studio and another producer. That is always a learning experience for me.”

Was it fun re-recording "" and "Sunshine?"

“I had not had time to revisit those two songs, so yes that was some of the most fun of the CD.”

When you perform, what is the "most rewarding" during a concert?

“The best time in a live setting is when the band has a spoken sense of musical communication. That is such a great feeling and it makes the audience also come alive with the energy it creates.”

2 If you had a chance, would you re-record some of the Silver Spur songs?

“It could be a lot of fun to look that far back. I really have not looked into that but you never know.”

There are not any current plans for a new CD at this time. You can be assured that I will pass along information on any new project

PREVIOUS NEWSLETTER

I wanted to take a moment to apologize for the Spring Newsletter 2004. There were a couple of grammatical errors. I apologize if this had caused any inconvenience to your reading enjoyment.

THE SWEETEST STORY

Recently JNFC Member Jay Zimmer and his new bride attended one of Juice’s concerts. What makes this story so intriguing is they attended the concert on their wedding night.

Jay and Sunni noticed that Juice was coming to Evansville on their wedding day. Knowing what a big fan Jay was, Sunni told him they could postpone their wedding so they could attend the concert. That is when they discovered there was a 10:00 PM show! Friends of theirs gave them tickets to the concert as a wedding gift.

After Juice sang “The Sweetest Thing,” she said “Tonight we have a couple who just got married-Jay and Sunni Zimmer are spending their evening with us. Are they here?” Jay raised his hand. Juice continued, “Well, we dedicate that last song to them.”

It was a great show for Jay and everyone else who was there. Thanks for the story Jay!! You can see the picture of Jay and Sunni and Juice in the Fan Gallery at www.juicenewtonfanclub.com!

FANS IN THE BUSINESS

JNFC members are very talented. Two such members are Cindy Lane Adams and Jay Zimmer. Cindy is a very talented lady and she says Juice inspired her career. Here is what Cindy had to say…

“Juice Newton inspired me when I first heard her voice range and her music on the radio and tape player I had in my car. When I saw her live she hit every note. It was the live show and recording artist I listened to all those years.

The Songwriter both Juice Newton and are says a lot about the artist. The material they write the story in the song they sing. I wanted to hit people's heart the same way. When people come to see me or hear my music. I want to offer them something…who I am, what I sing, and what I write. If they ask for the song by name or Email me one telling me they love the song like the music. I know I must be doing something right.

Music opens a special door with everyone. When you are a songwriter singer people want to hear about it. Other artist’s enjoy sharing with one another that is the biggest honor.”

Jay Zimmer is also an accomplished Musician in how own right. Here is what he had to say.

“I got interested music because of Ricky Nelson and it got worse with Elvis then I went through the roof with The Beatles. I took piano lessons then took some guitar lessons, though on guitar and bass I am virtually self-taught. I do read music and have a classical music education. I am back at it because the pain is just too much NOT to play again.”
