Located in a vast campus set against the background of a serene landscape and with hills of green woods silhouetted all around, in the village of Vazhayoor, SAFI Institute of Advanced Study, partly residential, and affiliated to the University of Calicut, cater to the needs of the aspirants of higher learning in Science & Technology, Commerce & Management, and Humanities & Social Sciences. The institution is committed to generate highly proficient human power capable of providing leadership and direction in all realms evolving a holistic system integrating knowledge and wisdom. Apart from state of art infrastructural facilities including latest laboratory and library, the faculty dedicated with disinterested spirit of learning renders SIAS an institution with a uniqueness. The programmes conducted by various departments in the previous academic year include webinars on national and international levels, varied management meets and series of invited lectures which motived and inspired the learners to a great extend. These programmes as a whole promoted the collective spirit essential for marching towards academic excellence. I am confident that the issue of the News Letter will inspire not only the staff and the students, but also all persons who co-operate with us in the fulfilment of our vision and mission.
