ESTIMATES AND FINANCIAL OPERATIONS COMMITTEE QUESTIONS TAKEN ON NOTICE Public Transport Authority Hon Rick Mazza MLC asked: C2 Could the Public Transport Authority provide a breakdown of each farm gate pickup and the school that each of those pickups attend in relation to orange school bus services. Answer: Please refer to table below. The information provided in the table does not take into account Education Suppo1i services, Intensive English Centres and Aboriginal Education services (funded by the Department of Education), metro fringe services where schools are located in the Pe1ih Public Transpo1t Area and some cluster contract services (previously Regular Passenger Transport services) as these have bus stop pick-ups. The answer assumes that all students on remaining services reside on a farm because they are more than 4.5 kilometres from town.     D21/0255096 Manjimup Senior High School Public School Review May 2021 PUBLIC SCHOOL REVIEW Purpose All Western Australian public schools are reviewed by the Department of Education’s Public School Accountability directorate. A review gives assurance to the local community, the Minister for Education and Training and the Director General about the performance of public schools in delivering high quality education to its students. The review acknowledges the achievements of the school and gives feedback to support the Principal and staff with their improvement planning. Initially conducted on a three-year cycle, subsequent reviews are determined to occur on a one, three or five-year timeframe. The Principal provides the review team with a self-assessment of the school’s performance based on evidence from the school. Information to be validated by the review team is considered before and during the school visit. This forms the basis for the school review report and determines when the next review will occur. The report is provided to the Principal, the Chair of the School Council/Board and the regional Director of Education. Expectations of schools The Statement of Expectation (Statement) makes clear and public the expectations and responsibilities of schools and the Department in student achievement and progress. The Statement is between; the Department of Education, represented by the Director General; the school, represented by the Principal; and is noted by the school council/board, represented by the Chair. The Statement sets out the expectations of Principals in relation to the delivery of the 2020-2024 strategic directions Every student, every classroom, every day, and Building on Strength.

    Heading More Than a Good Breakfast 15 Years of Foodbank WA’s School Breakfast Program SCHOOL BREAKFAST 15 PROGRAM YEARS Foreword It is often a shock for people to learn that Foodbank WA runs a program of the size and scale of the School Breakfast Program and that so many children in WA are going to school hungry. Growing from 17 schools in 2001 to more than 430 schools in 2015, the program supports 18,000 students per week and has become the largest operation of its kind in Australia. The common catalyst for schools enrolling in the School Breakfast Program remains the same today as it did 15 years ago: identifying a core Acknowledgements of students arriving at school having had little or no breakfast.
