IAAF Diamond League Media Information Guide 2013 www.diamondleague.com 1/37 INTRODUCTION With the creation of the IAAF Diamond League we set out to reinvent the one-day meeting structure of our sport, to bring clarity to the top tier circuit of international invitational competition which takes place outside the IAAF World Championships and Olympic Games. While there remain many challenges ahead if we are to make further advances and cement the IAAF Diamond League’s position as one of the world’s major sports series, we firmly believe that we have made an exceptionally good start in the first three years of the new competition structure. The IAAF Diamond League has a worldwide audience and a broadcasting reach undreamt by the Golden League series which preceded it. Thanks to a 14 meeting circuit which covers Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the USA, a competition programme that includes virtually the full spectrum of Olympic track and field disciplines, the guarantee of the world’s greatest athletes battling to win 8 Million Dollars in prize money, accumulating points season long to win their event’s Diamond Race Trophy, the IAAF Diamond League has captured the public’s imagination like no other non-championship athletics competition. DIVISION I WOMEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS RECORDS BOOK 2018 Championship 2 History 10 All-Time Team Results 23 2018 CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS Southern California wins championship with thrilling 4x400 finish: USC's women's track and field team won the program's second NCAA team title by winning the meet's final event the 4x400m relay by .07 seconds in come-from-behind fashion at the 2018 NCAA Division I outdoor championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon before 12,998 fans. USC scored 53 points to edge out Georgia (52) and Stanford (51), who were both not in the final relay. It was the first time in NCAA history that the top three teams finished within two points of each other. USC's title was its first since 2001 and its 53 points were the most by the Trojans since scoring 57 points in placing third in 2002. The national title is the 106th for the USC athletics program. USC earned 22 first-team All-America honors at the meet. USC scored 52 of its 53 points on the final day, with Angie Annelus in the 200m dash joining the 4x400m relay as a national champion. USC's women's team has scored 173 points at the NCAA championships in the five seasons with Caryl Smith Gilbert as the Director of Track & Field for the Trojans. That is the most in a five-year stretch since USC scored 212 points at the national meet from 2000-04. "I don't know yet. I'm still trying to recover. It feels amazing.

Due to security reasons, ALL MEDIA CREDENTIALS and Parking Permits will be held at the Credential Pick-up area in Parking Lot D, located off of Manhattan Beach Blvd. (please see attached map). Media Credentials and Parking Permit will be available for pick up on: Thursday, April 19 from 2pm - 8pm Friday, April 20 from 8am - 8pm Saturday, April 21 from 8am - 2pm Please present a photo ID to pick up your credentials and then park in lot C which is adjacent to the media credential pick up. Please remember to place your parking pass in your window prior to entering the stadium. The Mt.
