tamara levinson choreographer selected credits contact: 818 509-0121 TAMARA LEVINSON, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and grew up in New York City. Being a USA OLYMPIAN in the sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics at age fifteen, she naturally pursued dance as a career. Tamara's versatility as a dancer, aerial artist and contortionist lead her to dancing with MADONNA on three world tours (Drowned World, Re-invention, Confessions). She has also performed alongside great artists such as GWEN STEFANI, AVRIL LAVIGNE, NO DOUBT, RIHANNA, USHER, MANA and many others. Tamara's love for live avant garde theatre coincided with her Argentine roots when she joined the cast of DE LA GUARDA "VILLA VILLA"- Off Broadway in New York City. There she met ingenious director Diqui James and joined his creative team to conceive the still running off broadway hit show... FUERZABRUTA, in which she still performs and is the assistant to the director and show captain. Most recently she integrated the pop star, USHER into their cast. Ms. Levinson also had the great pleasure of working with the legendary TWYLA THARP on Broadway in The Times They Are A'Changin. Film credits include FOOTLOOSE and STEP UP 3-D. The many years of performing eventually lead Tamara into choreography. She has choreographed national commercials, videos and live stage shows for artists MANA, RICKY MARTIN, DAVID GUETTA, DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE, RUSKO and most recently CIRQUE DU SOLEIL'S MICHAEL JACKSON IMMORTAL TOUR. Due to her diverse cultural upbringing and vast dance and aerial knowledge, Ms. Levinson's take on choreography is versatile, powerful, visually pleasing on screen, raw, freshly innovative and creatively expansive. Ms. Levinson has also been teaching Contemporary Jazz with global accents for over 10 years. She has taught at many conventions and dance schools around the world as well as the infamous Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York City. Liveness here looks to authenticity and happenstance, privileges personal communications and seeks to live in the moment, and in this way the live performance then meets and matches or even surpasses the virtual life of the artist or group. The concert must be both mass spectacle and an individual and singular experience for those witnessing and participating in it. Without these latter essential attributes, which can be read as the auratic and authentic replacing the virtual, the arena concert falls short of ontological expectations of live music. In recent years the mise-en-scène of the arena concert has become calibrated to female artists with, seemingly, a concomitant feminisation of the event. Matching users’ interests as keywords with product attributes as keywords, performed by currently available personalization systems, has a very low recall, so more general category-based framework is needed. It turns out that substantial reasoning about products and their categories is required to match a taxonomy of the owner of products and services, with that of a user, as expressed in a public profile. To handle inconsistencies between these taxonomies, a mapping of one into another is expressed as a Defeasible Logic program (DeLP), where a potential mapping can be defeated by other ones if relevant information becomes available.
