Macleod Trail, as we know it today, has remained much the same since the 1960’s. It was, and continues to be, characterized by low-rise buildings accompanied by paved parking lots and poor infrastructure for pedestrians. The development of low-density land use and long distances between destinations or areas of interest has encouraged driving as the primary way for people to get to and from key destinations along Macleod Trail. What will Macleod Trail look like Because people will be living within walking or cycling distances to businesses and major activity centres over the next 50 years?
