An important part of our mission at the Pirates and Pirates Charities, is to promote the importance of education. A critical and fundamental component of education is reading. It is the gateway to learning. Not only is reading important for your education, but it can also provide hours of enjoyment and fun!

Starting on Thursday, March 28, 2019 and going through Monday, August 25, 2019, youth (ages 4-18) can read their way to a Pirates home game at PNC Park! All you have to do is read one book per week! Select a grade-level book*, and once you finish it, complete the Pirates Tales Entry Form, and submit it to your local librarian or online atcarnegielibrary.org/piratestales.

As you read more books, you will progress around the bases, with the ultimate goal of hitting a ! Encourage your fam- ily, friends, and neighbors to read as much as they can, too. The library that has the most Pirates Tales participants will win a pizza party with the !
