Summary: This report provides details of Member Highway Fund requests which are presented to the Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and waste on a monthly basis.

1. Introduction

(1.1) At its meeting on 25 th June 2009 the County Council approved a two year pilot scheme under which Members are allocated £25,000 for expenditure on appropriate local highway matters. (1.2) This report summarises the requests which have been received during the last month and which meet the schemes criteria under which Members can seek finance for particular schemes from their allocated Highway fund.

2. Requests for spending

(2.1) Each County Member has submitted the proposal shown below, and has declared where there are either personal or prejudicial interests involved. Such proposals are marked with an asterisk in the table below.

(2.2) Officers have checked that the proposals conform with the protocols governing this scheme.

3. Comments

(3.1) The requests identified in section 2 of this report fully comply with existing County Council policy. (3.2) Nigel Collor’s requests will be using money from Roger Frayne’s allocation as agreed in the report ‘Allocation of Mr Frayne’s Member Highway Fund for 2009/10 and 2010/11’.

4. Recommendation

(4.1) It is recommended that the Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Waste authorises the spending of Member Highway Funds as detailed in this report.
