If still tied after the 3 on 3 overtime, then a three man shootout will occur followed by sudden death. During sudden death shootout, there is no limit on which player shoots and how many round they shoot for. Full details are disclosed below: 1. Teams play an additional overtime period of not more than five (5) minutes with the team scoring first declared the winner and being awarded an additional point. 2. The overtime period will be played with each team at 3-on-3 manpower (plus goaltender) for the full five-minute period. 3. Manpowers during overtime will be adjusted to reflect the situation in the game, but at no time will a team have fewer than three (3) skaters on the ice during the overtime period. For example, if a team enters the overtime period on a power play, manpower would be adjusted from 5 on 4 at the end of regulation to 4 on 3 at the start of overtime. If a minor penalty is assessed during overtime, the teams will play 4 on 3. If a second minor penalty is assessed to the same team during overtime, the teams will play 5 on 3. 4. If the game remains tied at the end of the five (5) minute overtime period, the teams will proceed to a three-round shootout. After each team has taken three shots, if the score remains tied, the shootout will proceed to a “sudden death” format. 5. At the end of regulation, there will be no further ice surface maintenance during the balance of overtime period and or the shootout. Ice resurface will only occur after the end of the game. • Serving Career and Technical Education Students in Pennsylvania
Career and Technical Student Organizations Serving Career and Technical Education Students in Pennsylvania 1 Dear CTSO Leaders, As the leader of a statewide trade association dedicated to the growth and development of the technology industry in Pennsylvania, I am keenly aware of the need for a highly-skilled, well-trained, and motivated workforce. At the Technology Council of Pennsylvania, we are strong advocates for advancements in and the promotion of S.T.E.M. education, as well as career and technical training, in order to prepare our young people to succeed in the 21st Century, global economy. That is why we support the work of Pennsylvania’s Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) and the critical role they play in today’s education community. For nearly 70 years, CTSOs have been able to extend teaching and learning through a variety of targeted programs, public-private partnerships and leadership development initiatives that produce technically advanced, employable students to meet the needs of this country’s diverse employer base. Today, the work of CTSOs has never been more valuable as our economy demands workers with a strong understanding of science, technology, engineering and math concepts as well as hands-on technical expertise. The co-curricular approach of CTSOs uniquely positions these organizations to enhance student skill sets and better prepare them to excel in their chosen careers. In order for Pennsylvania and the United States to not only compete, but succeed on a global stage, we need to ensure that the very technology and innovation companies that are driving this global economy have the availability of a well-qualified workforce.

Saturday, January 26, 2019 Saturday, January 26, 2019 Dear students and educators, Greetings and welcome to the 51st annual Berklee High School Jazz Festival. We are so pleased that you are here with us to experience a wonderful day highlighting jazz education and music-making by talented artists. Our participants embody the very best of high school instrumental and vocal jazz in large and small ensemble combinations, as well as solo vocalists in our specialized Jazz Singer Showcase category. We are very proud that our event is the largest of its kind in the United States, featuring thousands of student performers representing public and private high schools from across the country. It also represents hundreds of music educators at the top of their craft who empower and influence students with their teaching every single day. None of the students would be here without their teachers and we honor, appreciate, and acknowledge this fact. One of our goals with the festival is to provide enriching opportunities for young artists to experience jazz from multiple angles (i.e., performing, attending clinics and exhibits, and hearing performances by other musicians). In addition, we recognize the power of bringing music teachers together to showcase the talents and efforts of their students, expand their professional networks, and inspire each other. Accordingly, throughout the day, we have scheduled time for all of these activities, and we encourage you to explore and take advantage of the festival’s many facets. This year, we are pleased to announce that Thomas “TL” Lizotte, band director for Cape Elizabeth High School in Maine, will receive the John LaPorta Jazz Educator of the Year Award.
