Amend House Bill 62 by replacing 4 everything after the enacting clause with the following: 5 "ARTICLE 1 6 Section 1. It is the intent of the State that all or a 7 portion of the costs of projects funded by appropriations made 8 in this Act from the Capital Development Fund, the School 9 Construction Fund, the Anti-Pollution Fund, the Transportation 10 Bond Series A Fund, the Transportation Bond Series B Fund, the 11 Coal Development Fund, the Transportation Bond Series D Fund, 12 Multi-Modal Transportation Bond Fund, and the Build Illinois 13 Bond Fund will be paid or reimbursed from the proceeds of tax- 14 exempt bonds subsequently issued by the State. 10100HB0062sam001 -2- SDS101 00113 MRR 45114 a 1 ARTICLE 2 2 DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY 3 Section 10. The sum of $175,000,000, or so much thereof as 4 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond 5 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for 6 the purpose of making grants and loans to local governments for 7 planning, engineering, acquisition, construction, 8 reconstruction, development, improvement and extension of the 9 public infrastructure, and for any other purposes authorized 10 in subsection (a) of Section 4 of the Build Illinois Bond Act 11 and for grants to State agencies for such purposes, including 12 prior incurred costs. 13 Section 15. The sum of $175,000,000, or so much thereof as 14 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Build Illinois Bond 15 Fund to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for 16 the purpose of making grants and loans to foster economic 17 development and increase employment and the well-being of the 18 citizens of Illinois, and for any other purposes authorized in 19 subsection (b) of Section 4 of the Build Illinois Bond Act and 20 for grants to State agencies for such purposes, including prior 21 incurred costs.
