Senior Center Financial Literacy Poker Walk Tuesday, April 26th 10:00-11:30am April is National Finance Literacy Month. The Senior Center is partnering with some local financial institutions to host this fun and educational event! Walk between rooms and hear about a variety of financial topics specifically geared toward seniors, like appointing a financial power of attorney, debt issues, fraud protection, and more. You will receive a playing card in each room. Collect playing cards and come up with your best poker hand to see if you can win a prize! Register by April 20th, 541-258-4919. Is Your Wish Their Command? Conversations About Your Affairs and Final Wishes Join us for two Wednesdays in April, the 20th and 27th, from 6:00-8:00pm for poignant presentations that will empower you to make educated decisions, now, for a time that you might not be able to speak for yourself. Invite your adult children, spouse or person that you plan to handle your affairs and we will help initiate a conversation on these sometimes difficult topics. Emergencies & accidents happen, it is good to be prepared. These are conversations everyone should have with their loved ones. Tuesday, April 12th: “Some History of Baseball”- Dr. Robert Harrison, Open MondayLBCC professor, will be returning this spring to share another passion besides U.S. History. — Baseball has been a beloved pastime in America for generations. Come celebrate the beginning of another season with some tidbits and anecdotes about baseball from over the years. Monday, April 18th: “Organize Now for More Time to Play” – Are your closets bulging? Tony Hayden, local celebrated photographer and owner of Aloha Photographic Studio, has been mastering this art for decades. Come hear the story of his passions and journey as photojournalist, photographer and artist. He will also have several displays of his work available for viewing. Our volunteers are the best!!!!
