2019 Hawke's Bay Netball Secondary School Super 12 2019 HAWKE’S BAY NETBALL SECONDARY SCHOOL SUPER 12 QUALIFYING Thank you for entering your teams into our Super 12 Qualifying Competition for the 2019 season. There are 12 teams entered into this Competition. With this number of entries there will be three (3) pools of four (4) teams. You are placed into these pools based on 2018’s final rankings. Qualifying Pools POOL 1 POOL 2 POOL 3 Havelock North High School Central Hawke’s Bay College Woodford House Wairoa College Iona College Karamu High School Sacred Heart College St Joseph’s Maori Girls College Flaxmere College Hukarere Ahuriri Taradale High School Qualifying – format and information as follows: . Qualifying # 1 – Tuesday 30th April – PGA o Game Times: 4.30pm, 5.05pm, 5.40pm, 6.15pm, 6.50pm, 7.25pm o 3 x Games in total – Round Robin in your Pool with the top 2 teams from each Pool qualifying for Super 12 o Games to be 2 x 10 minute halves, with a 2 min break for half time. Injury time to be observed. Qualifying # 2 – Thursday 2nd May – Regional Sports Park o Game Times: 4.30pm, 5.15pm, 6.00pm o 2 x Games in total – Round Robin in 2 x Pools of 3 teams (A and B) o Games to be 2 x 10 minute halves, with a 2 min break for half time. Injury time to be observed. POOL A POOL B Pool 1 3rd Place Pool 1 4th Place Pool 2 4th Place Pool 2 3rd Place Pool 3 3rd Place Pool 3 4th Place The top Two (2) teams from each Pool on Thursday 2nd May will go through to make up the Super 12 Competition Teams. The two teams that do not get through are to participate in the first Saturday competition grading – 4th May. This will determine which Saturday grade you will play in for the season. General Information . Each team must supply one person to be either scorer or timekeeper. Hawke's Bay Netball will supply Match balls. Umpires will be supplied. During all rounds points will be awarded as follows: . Win = 4 points . Draw = 2 points . Loss by 3 goals or less = 1 point . Loss by more than 3 goals – 0 points . In the event of a tie on points at the end of the rounds, in the first instance goal differentials (goals for divided by goals against) will be calculated, if still a tie then the result of the game between the two teams decides the winner. If the two teams draw their match, or if more than two teams have the same goal differential at the end of section play, goal difference of the games will decide the placing (goals for minus goals against). In the event of further tie, the team scoring the most goals for, will be declared the highest place. Napier Girl’s and Hastings Girl’s High Schools DO NOT need to participate in Qualifying as they automatically qualify for Super 12. 2019 Rules & Regulations The 2019 Super 12 Competition will be governed by the HBN Rules and Regulations.
