IST Monsoon Watch ♦ The western part of the Monsoon Trough at mean sea level now passes through Ganganagar, Narnaul, Aligarh, Kanpur, Daltonganj, Shantiniketan, Cherrapunji and thence eastwards to Nagaland and extends upto 0.9 km above mean sea level.♦ A north-south trough runs at 0.9 km above mean sea level from central Madhya Pradesh to south Tamilnadu across Vidarbha, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Main Weather Observations Heavy to very heavy rainfall observed at isolated places over West madhya Pradesh. Very light to moderate rainfall observed at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Very light to light rainfall observed at isolated places over Vidarbha. Thunderstorm observed at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Maximum Temperature No large change in maximum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. They were markedly above normal over East Madhya Pradesh. appreciably above normal over West Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh and above normal over Vidarbha. Gwalior recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.4 degree celsius. No large change in maximum temparatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during next 3-4 days . Minimum Temperature No large change in mimimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. They were above normal over Madhya Pradesh and normal over Vidarbha and Chattisgarh. Rajnandgaon recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 20.0 degree celsius. Profile of the Gwalior & Chambal Division Gwalior and Chambal Divisions are administrative subdivisions of Madhya Pradesh consisting 9% & 6% of state population respectively. Gwalior Division covers five districts namely Ashoknagar, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, and Shivpuri and Chambal Division consists of the three districts namely Morena, Bhind and Sheopur.
