FOUNDATION AND KEY STAGE 1 AND KEY STAGE FOUNDATION Megson’s Family Folk Show is an inspiring, exciting and interactive musical experience for younger children.

Between each song, the performers playfully involve the audience, introducing ideas, their folk instruments, and stories that will feature in the songs. Megson have been performing their Family Folk Show to young audiences for the last six years. It was developed in conjunction with Cambridge Junction and Sage Gateshead in order to educate, engage and entertain young audiences through the highest quality . The concerts typically last 45 minutes.

The performance in schools is suited for Foundation and KS1 pupils. However, it can also provide an inspiring experience for KS2 pupils with a keen interest in music.

After the performance there will be an opportunity to ask questions and chat with Megson about folk music, the instruments and life as performing musicians.
