Bilboats: If the river estuary played a key role in the ZONE development of Bilbao, cruising along its waters seems 1 the ideal way of approaching its history, architecture and cityscape. Bilboats offers this possibility on board its vessel, with one covered and one open deck, so it can sail the waters of the River Nervión even on rainy days.

This wetland shelters a worthy biological treasure where a great variety of ecosystems meet and live by particular communities of fauna and vegetation, having very relevant species. Santa Catalina Lighthouse: This Interpretation Centre, which is dedicated to navigation, gives us the opportunity to place ourselves in the shoes of sailors who, lost at sea, finally see the beam of the lighthouse, which guides them home safely. Thanks to the technological resources available at the Santa Catalina Lighthouse, visitors will be able to learn the basic principles of navigation, which take their roots in ancient times.

San Juan de : This spot, halfway between the localities of and Bermeo, has something captivating about it. The long, steep stairway that connects the island to the mainland is a challenge. There are different versions as to the real number of steps, but everybody agrees that it is worth the climb.

At the end of the steps, you can step in a footprint said to have been left by Saint John the Baptist and to bring good luck. At the top, you will find a picturesque chapel and, above all, spectacular views over the stormy , which has carved cliffs, tunnels and impossible arches out of the island.
