David Bradley previously played William Hartnell in the 2013 docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time. The BBC has confirmed he is now the official First Doctor, played by Hartnell from 1963 to 1966 and in the tenth anniversary special The Three Doctors. The character was portrayed by Richard Hurndall in the twentieth anniversary special The Five Doctors, and by a rotating mannequin head in the 1993 special Dimensions in Time.
